Lockout after forum conversion (fix completed in vcs)

I have installed the RC1 and converted my phpBB2 2.0.19 without problems.

Then, starting the forum, I notice "board not available" and when trying to login with my admin account I get: "It was not possible to convert your password when updating this bulletin board’s software. Please request a new password. If you continue to have problems please contact the Board Administrator."

I am therefore locked out, I can't login, and requesting a new password gets me again the "board not available" message. Maybe it is important to know that I had chosen the same account name as administrator as the admin name I had in phpBB2

Have you deleted the install folder like you're supposed to?
That should remove the board disable message.

Correct, that solved the board disabled message.

However, can it not be prevented that during an import the founder account is left untouched so that I can use the password as set during the phpbb3 installation?

I finally got in after hacking the code. After logging in to the admin I found the SMTP errors which obviously I could not see and act upon earlier ;)

Changed ticket status from "New" to "Reviewed"

A user of my forum just sent me an e-mail saying he got this message:
"It was not possible to convert your password when updating this bulletin board’s software. Please request a new password. If you continue to have problems please contact the Board Administrator."

He said he tried to request another password but that didn't work either. He said he received it and cut & pasted it but it didn't work. I manually reset his password to something else and we'll see if that works. I'll ask him if maybe there was a space at the end of the password he might've accidentally included when he cut & pasted it.
