If I search for user's post though their profile link, the search result doesn't contain posts from non-searchable forums.
The same thing happens with egosearch too.

When I brought this up...
It was deemed not a bug.
I thought it was fixed in CVS, but it certainly still is there.. and still is a huge issue IMO. (but most likely a simple fix!)
