Hi,
I am testing a new forum to go live soon.
I created a couple of test users, I am an Admin and a moderator.
When logging in as a test user from another machine, I cannot see the New Topic button that will allow me to post.
I have been tinkering with forum permissions, and group permissions to no avail.
So how do I set permissions to access a forum to group Registered users?
Thanks.

This is usually due to one of two things.
1) Permissions
Check the following
Admin panel
permissions
groups forum permissions
registered users
the forums
standard access
2) Languages
If you're not using the default British English language you need to make sure you've upload the correct style imageset for the one you are using.
If you're using US English you can duplicate the imageset/en folder and rename it to /en_us

Thanks for answer.
I am using the default British English.
I cannot see your step 4: groups forum permissions.
However, I can see user-based permissions, and forum-based permissions, for group Registered users.
I cannot modify any of them, can only see them.
I am a Standard admin, not a founding member.
Please help.

Hi there,
Just to clarify, we do have to set that for each forum individually?
Ta, mano

Yes, although you can choose to copy permissions from another forum when you are creating forums.
