Hey 4_seven et al,
Loved Patrick's idea about adding a link in viewtopic, but for me it seemed redundant since I am displaying custom profile fields. I decided to add a link on the address instead of adding the additional icon. Here's what I did:
OPEN viewtopic_body.html
FIND:
Code: Select all
<!-- BEGIN custom_fields -->
<dd><strong>{postrow.custom_fields.PROFILE_FIELD_NAME}:</strong> {postrow.custom_fields.PROFILE_FIELD_VALUE}</dd>
<!-- END custom_fields -->
REPLACE WITH:
Code: Select all
<!-- BEGIN custom_fields -->
<!-- IF postrow.custom_fields.PROFILE_FIELD_NAME eq "Location" -->
<dd><strong>{postrow.custom_fields.PROFILE_FIELD_NAME}:</strong> <a href="{U_USER_MAP}">{postrow.custom_fields.PROFILE_FIELD_VALUE}</a></dd>
<!-- ENDIF -->
<!-- END custom_fields -->
Where the field name "Location" is the "Field name/title presented to the user:" in the CPF menu (change this depending on your field name).
**Note also that you would need to use this second construct for any other custom profile fields you want displayed in viewtopic; otherwise, there will be a duplicate CPF entry if you don't replace the code or missing CPF entries if you include the second entry only once (and if you have more than one CPF being displayed).
My question for 4_seven is about the <a href="{U_USER_MAP}"> line... that link only opens up the user_map.html file; is there a way to actually jump to the user selected instead?
Cheers!
