[RELEASE] Social Bookmarks for 3.0

Post by pipc01 »

IIf you want to add social bookmarks to your forum, this is for you. The beauty of this code is you can add it anywhere,to the header, footer, view topic or view forum or a combination of the above.
I can't get my head round the rules to make it official, but thought you would like it anyway.
Included is 27 social bookmarks with gif, where the social bookmark site allows, it will add your forum or topic title, each SB link has the nofollow attribute.

You can view an example of the bookmarks in a forum at http://www.owlforum.co.uk/new-owl-forum ... t-f40.html

You can view an example of the bookmarks in a thread at http://www.owlforum.co.uk/hello-and-wel ... -t118.html

You can download the whole file including readme that tells you how to add the code to the view forum and view topic but for overall_header.html add it before

Code: Select all

<!-- ENDIF -->

	<br style="clear: both;" />

	<!-- INCLUDE breadcrumbs.html -->

	<br />
In foverall_footer.html add it after the first

Code: Select all

<!-- ENDIF -->
</div>
I have tested this in the prosilver and two designed templates.

You can download the bookmark file which includes 27 social bookmarks and the readme.

Enjoy.

Hm..it seems that these are only links to the social bookmarking sites. Would it not be better for them to link to a page allowing users to submit your site, as seen on most web 2.0 sites which encourage bookmarking.
My phpBB3 styles: 610nm, Cerulean, CoDFaction, DarkFantasy, GuildWarsAlliance, twilightBB
