Oh yeah I forgot to ask you a question in the last post and it is: Is this gonna have the same features as Topics Anywhere or will it be a little different?

I have no idea what features that mod has.
All I know is that this covers almost everything that has been requested… there are some features request in the support topic that haven't been implemented yet.
So it's nearly finished, and will be easy to use for any style.

The one feature I was wondering about is if you can have the posts displayed in the order you'd want like Announcements and Sticky's first then regular posts, or have it so that it displays them in the order they were posted like newest to oldest? Thanks and can't wait to use it and see how it works!

actually… I didn't have it like that.
Thanks… I'll add that to the features.
I'll try and get the prosilver one out very soon… but it's easy to upgrade… It doesn't use any core code.

I just realized, you can use it for prosilver right now… couple steps to it (will be included in the next install file I do)
- OPEN styles/prosilver/template/viewtopic_body.html
- COPY starting from
- Code: Select all
<!-- BEGIN postrow -->
down to - Code: Select all
<!-- END postrow -->
- Paste it into a file and name it postrow.html and save it to styles/prosilver/template/postrow.html
same method applies for any style you are using… so now you can use it
I'll keep this topic updated with… well… updates

I believe the original topics anywhere was able to supply the topics output given a url request within javascript. Giving the ability to format the output however you like and wherever you like (i.e. on your home page).
Do you plan to enable this kind of feature or is there an easier way I just dont know about.
Thanks for your work so far, nice mod.

I hadn't thought of that way… but I think I know what you're talking about and it would be a good idea.
are you talking about something like this
for the url, type in
- Code: Select all
http://phpbb.com/mypage.php?t=24&f=49
and have it pull up that topic?

@dukes, the install file is posts_anywhere.xml
@3Di, Thanks, but I'm known everywhere else as Handyman… so I would probably have to get a name change here.

hey Midwest.
Although I don't have an update for it yet… you can use it for any style and when I create an update for it, it will be just replacing the old files with the new ones… not much work involved.
Here is the instructions for how to use this with all styles:
viewtopic.php?p=2983307#p2983307I'm pretty sure some images won't work with prosilver, since there have been some changes since my last release in that regard… but that will get you going until my next update
