This is supposed to be about connecting with the users, not scaring them away...

Nice in terms of looks? Very.
In terms of price? Not so much. I paid almost £4 for a glass of beer.

Lots of very cool people here. Everyone should try to come on Sunday if they can make it. You won't be disappointed.

Indeed. I'll be uploading some photos from our dinner meeting tonight later this morning. Unfortunately, due to the hotel's horribly slow upstream connection, uploading these photos won't be quick. :D

Are we likely to manage to kill it on Sunday? It could end up nasty.

wGEric, Handyman and I arrived at about 13:30 local London time, after “flying through thin-air”, as our flight was delayed two hours and nobody seemed to be able to find it on a tracker to check arrival.

We decided to skip the 4£ per-person bus fee to go directly to the Raddison and instead headed down to the Central Bus Station and took Bus 140 over to the bus stop near the Raddison. (tip/hint for those arriving via airline).

We met several enthusiastic team members there and ate the Programmers stable-food: McDonalds!, and then spent the rest of the afternoon discussing one programming concept after another, as well as the awesome new features planned for 3.2 that we’ve never heard before. -- If you want to hear it too, you’ll have to be there Sunday. :D

Once most of the team members arrived, we sat down to a nice dinner...

The hotel's air conditioning must be on really high for Bertie to be so tightly wrapped up in his fur coat...
