Right now I am needing people, with paypal accounts, to make some test transactions.

I have the amounts set at $0.01 - $0.03 per transaction so hardly anything will be spent helping me finish this mod. I do not have the time to refund everyones pennies so please be aware that all transactions are final and you are helping out a lot by making test transactions.

I am looking for people that can also test eCheck transactions using the same amounts. I believe this system if 100% fully compatible with eChecks but I am not completely sure because I dont have eChecks. By fully compatible I mean, a user will not get their points UNTIL their eCheck clears with PayPal.

Once I can verify that the IPN is working with real accounts I can release the beta. So within a few days if I get some testers.

Cash To Points allows your members to buy points with real money. This MOD makes use of PayPal and it's IPN system (Instant Payment Notification). When a member buys points, the mod will instantly update their points as soon as PayPal successfully completes the transaction.

Notes:

You must already have a PayPal Business account if you plan on accepting
credit cards. PayPal Business accounts are free to set up. If you do not
already have one, go to https://www.paypal.com/us/mrb/pal=LD8CAZ4UCJUJG
and set one up for free! You can then accept credit cards.
Since this MOD deals with real money I have made every effort to make
this MOD as secure as possible but since nothing in this world is flawless
I have to put a disclaimer to protect myself in the event of hackers or
whatever. So on that note, I take no responsibility if anything happens
to your forum or money. You are installing this MOD and using it at your
own risk and will not hold me liable for anything.
I currently use this on one of my live sites with thousands of members
and have not had any problems. So I am pretty confident with it's security.

Some people want a shortcut.

One of my forums has the "points per post" disabled so user must buy them or earn them in tournaments. Thats because I sell real items in the forum Shop.

I never installed the points system but if you create a currency called "Points" with the db field "user_points" using the cash mod, then you can use this system...

I know the cash mod is compatible with mods that use the points system and i think almost all others so thats why i chose to add on to the cash mod...

Great! How 'bout making another mod...a subscription mod...where people pay and be added to a usergroup in order to see "special" forums...and they'll be kicked out of that group once the subscription expired. I know there's another mod in dev about it but...seems like it's going no where.

i have already decided that will probably be my next mod... and it will be subscription based and also work with PayPals IPN system.... It shouldnt be too hard to do.. I just need to work on features like a list of subscribers, their subscription start and end dates etc...

You're a saint, if this mod works you'll have saved me the time and effort of creating it for my own site- a pay site which will use points as currency for purchasing services (all community integrated, and so it requires only one method of actually moving money- and a secure one at that).

Your subscription mod, if you can make it compatible with this one, will also be gratefully recieved (also, assuming you make it ).

If you mean USD the answer is yes... BUT not in the beta release.. i think...

working in selectable currency types in the admin section shouldnt be too hard to do so if it isnt in the beta release then expect it in the one after... you WILL have the option of currency type, but i cant say if it will be in the beta release or not...

you can see it in action on my demo site... you can buy points for $0.01 and see it instantly update your points... and yes it is compatible with the subscription mod as they are both up and running on the demo site as we speak

it shouldnt be too much longer before i can provide a download but that all depends on people helping me out and making test purchases for pennies.... i want to make sure i release a stable mod...
