Thanks to MOD Team for my mod being validated :)

Mod features:
  • Moderators can use [mod] tags only in forums which they moderate, but every moderator can use them in pm's
  • Moderator tags removed when quoting whole post
  • [mod="Moderator name"][/mod] tag supported. Looks like like [quote="user"].

Sounds good; good job! :)

One thing though; is that image posted to the left of the moderator text customizable?

It's not an image, it's a text. You can change how it looks in bbcode.tpl and overall_header.tpl (subSilver.css)

Are the tags restricted to moderator use only, or can regular users use them?

Certainly, only mods. They'll get extra button "MOD" in posting.php to add bbtags to messages as easy as built-in tags. Ordinary users won't even know about tags' existence, because posts with such tags can't be quoted or edited by regular users.

I've briefly tested these 2 mods together and it seems they work fine.

One small issue in installation: in includes/bbcode.php you should seek second occurence of this string:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
# NOTE: If you can't find this line, it probably means that you have not installed Multiple BBCode MOD yet
# Read installation notes for details
#
global $template,
as CH adds function display_bbcodes() with the same line.

So, after modification it should look like:

Code: Select all

function Multi_BBCode()
{
	global $template, $lang, $is_auth, $userdata, $HTTP_SERVER_VARS;

How to change visualisation?

Post by Coagulant »

Lines that correspond to mod tags' looks are:

Code: Select all

.mod {
	font-family: {T_FONTFACE1}; font-size: {T_FONTSIZE2}px; color: {T_BODY_TEXT}; line-height: 125%;
}
Style of moderator message.

Code: Select all

.exclamation {
	font-weight: bold; font-family: Times New Roman, Verdana; font-size : 45px; color: #ffffff;
}
Style of "!" symbol.

Code: Select all

td.ModTable { background-color: #ff6060; }
style of "!" symbol background.

You should change background-color in the last one. Remember to do this for all templates you have besides subSilver.
