Very convenient

Post by brassmule »

I just installed this on a fairly heavily mod'ed phpBB v 2.0.21 using easyMOD 0.30b, and the subSilver template. Installed without any hiccups and no issues since install.

I run a site with a large amount of largely non-computer literate users who have probably never even heard the word "avatar" before. Most of them could not, for the life of them, seem to ever get around to choosing one.

This places an Avatar gallery link right at the top of the page (along with Search, memberlist, usergroups, etc), and makes it very, very easy to stumble onto the this "brand new" concept of an avatar and make a good choice.

Thank you very much for this mod. It will save me lots of trying trying to explain avatars to a few dozen people.

Placed my vote as Excellent, cuz that's as high as it went. Easily my favorite mod so far (because of it's overall positive impact on my forum).

Hello

Running phpBB 2.0.22

I completed the install of this mod and ran the SQL. I now get the following message:

"No input file specified."

I must have missed something as I modded the files, correct? If so, how do I fugure out which file to remod?

Issue embarrassingly resolve. It is always a good idea after you place the included files in the file on your C drive to actually upload them to the server.

BTW - this is one great mod.

Hi everyone ! Thanks for the positive feedback about my MOD.

Just tested it on a 2.0.22 version. Everything seems to work fine.

I'd like to submit this MOD as 2.0.22 compatible, but I couldn't figure out how to do so without submitting the entire MOD again... :|

Any idea ? Thx in advance :)

The thing is... there is no new version of my MOD. The 1.2.4 version is just phpBB 2.0.22 compliant, and I wish to register it as [2.0.22] View Avatar Gallery... ;)

At first, Uploading new version MOD at your Webpage directly
and show here that URL and then uploading also here again after
some weeks or months. Ugh?!?! There is no new version?!?!
So there is no news... :|

If you have new version MOD(=bug fixing)
so uploading it at your webpage
and show that URL here.
