killed process in phpmyadmin... no connection to database

Postby axl » Tue Dec 12, 2006 4:30 pm

i must be the first one asking this... (search didn't bring the solution)

one of the forum admins was messing inside phpmyadmin, and he clicked the Kill button in the process list by accident... now we are getting the critical error, no connection to the database

ok... i hope this is detailed enough

how can we activate it again?

Depends upon why you're not able to reconnect - if he killed MySQL itself, whoever is in control of the MySQL server will have to restart it.

(this is why phpmyadmin should not be configured to use high-privilege accounts, because it IS possible to do things, with the right privileges, that can't be undone from the web)
