Is there a way to just edit the html code around the forums?

For example

top half code

phpbbforums

bottomhalf code

This way I can just give monochrome colors to the forum that match the main sites design. and just design the "frame" of the forums. (not real html frames)

Edit overall_header.tpl and overall_footer.tpl to add content around the forum.

ok , I see that I can input some html in there, but is there any way to make it dynamic like php with
Code: Select all
<?PHP include('tophalf.php'); ?>

This way I can make some dynamic things display like the date or do other php functions?

The eXtreme Styles MOD allows you to use php in the template files, as well as adding other features to the template system.

Hey! Thanks for the link. Was hoping not to have to use a mod.

BTW, I wanted to see a demo and I got an error:

Yeh.
You don't really need a demo. It does what you need and there's nothing to see on the user facing side. If you don't like it, it's easy to uninstall.
