Hi Mark,
I am still having a few issues with the digest, but I am also having issues with the main phpBB board. For the past two weeks eventhough I have changed passwords and locked down everything I can on my server (it is a shared server), and talked to the hosting company, I keep having "code" added to my config.php file It is a disaster. I dont know if this is causing any of my issues with the digest at all but I am going to overwrite all of the phpbb files, as somehow I am just "fixing" the same config file every day. And I think this will deteriorate to worse stuff. Hopefully by overwriting all files on phpbb I can stop this. I know I will then have to repeat all the stuff I did for the digest, hopefully with better results this time.

Do you have any suggestions on how I should approach the digest setup again? I will have the database fields and all that already set up as I am just redoing the files.

Sounds like you have some sort of server side virus affecting your config.php. That's a bad one to get hacked. Talk with your web host, but first lock down file permissions so that it is not group or publicly writeable. To be extra paranoid you should also change your database password as well. Hopefully your database did not get hacked.

This is a new topic so I'm not sure what the other topic was, but it's best to reply there as I don't recall what advice I gave, if any.

Thanks, yeah I am being very paranoid as well. That is why I want to reinstal phpBB. So my question to you is a new one. Yes I have digest vs 2.2.16 installed. I also have phpBB 3.0.9.

I am going to recopy ALL of the phpBB 3.0.9 files. This will overwrite my digest files that overlap. I will need to "reinstall" the digest program. My question for you is how should I do this?

Overwrite phpBB files, and then just run phpBB Digests install and then do the manual stuff? or any other thoughts?

If you overwrote all your files then you will have to copy digest files and redo the file changes. Please apply the bug fixes on my forum phpbbservices.com as well for 2.2.16. Since 2.2.16 was already installed, the database changes were already done so you should not need to run the digest_install.php program and if you run it it should tell you that you are current.
