Improving the quality of phpBB
We're working hard on improving phpBB's quality. With the help of PHPUnit, a unit testing framework, we are starting to automate tests. But while we are working on them we also need to assure that current phpBB releases meet expectations. Consequently we have founded a new Quality Assurance Team which helps us make sure bugs are properly fixed and no new issues are introduced.

The QA Team is responsible for manually testing the software before new releases. It aims to find problems introduced by changes. It has additional permissions on the bug tracker and can mark bugs as severe. A seperate communcation channel with the development team assures that their concerns are quickly responded to.
If you wish to help the phpBB project, are capable of debugging problems and writing detailed bug reports and if enough time to reliably perform manual tests regularly, please contact naderman via PM.
