Thanks. Since no one ever looks back a page...

I installed this mod and it is making threads with images load very slowly. I'm using a very fast computer on a T1 connection, and my server has a fat bandwidth connection and is a fast machine. Threads with one picture aren't a big deal, but threads with as little as 4 or 5 pictures are just bogging way down, even when there is no resizing going on. What's happening here? Why are these threads so slow and is there any way to fix this?

Sometimes I'll click to open a thread and it won't even open at all, it just eventually times out. Speed of thread loading is my priority here, how do I fix this?

Thanks, too bad the pics get distorted when they get resized.

This mod is excellent; I was having major trouble with editing and quoting with iMinimise (despite the changelog mentioning these types of issues being fixed) and I removed it and put this one in and I have to say it is outstanding.

The most important thing is that it works retrospectively so old images are reformatted too.

My only question is, is it possible to have the window that is spawned sized to fit the image that is larger than ## pixels - unless it is larger than a maximised window - if you get me! 8O It always opens a maximised window...
Very well done! It is so great to have a mod that is validated too.

Will.*

Baerenwurm, it's working in Opera on your site too. Maybe it's time to convince your members who are using IE to switch to a different browser...

I'm sure this is a stupid beginners problem but when I installed the MOD my forum went blank. No error message or anything, just a white page.

I restored the modified files one by one and the forums came back after I restored the page_header.php in the /includes. Although the forums are back the MOD isn't working. This is how I entered the modification to the file.

Code: Select all

'L_WHOSONLINE_MOD' => sprintf($lang['Mod_online_color'], '<span style="color:#' . $theme['fontcolor2'] . '">', '</span>'),
//-- start mod : Resize Posted Images Based on Max Width ----------------------------------
'L_RMW_IMAGE_TITLE' => $lang['rmw_image_title'],
'U_RMW_JSLIB' => $phpbb_root_path . 'templates/rmw_jslib.js',
//-- fin mod : Resize Posted Images Based on Max Width ------------------------------------
I believe I followed the instructions exactly so I'm a bit lost.

Crikey, I experienced the same problem -- Safari users and some Firefox users (Mac) could not view posts. From what they told me, it seemed the tables were loading, but the post text was not. They could still post, but could not view any of the text in posts.

I recommend using this mod until there is a version for 2.0.17.

So have you ruled out installation error as the cause yet? It seems strange that I have this MOD running fine on my 2.0.17 board. Did any of you use EasyMod to install this MOD? If so, which version are you using???
