How many times do I have to say this. This thread is for direct MOD support only. If you have login issues, etc, even after running it, you need to get support in the support forum.

Okay, so before I make a stupid mistake....

the downloaded 2.0.2 files consist of:
auto_cookies.mod
install directory (which contains...)
cookie.php

so do I upload the auto_cookies.mod to my forum root and the install directory containing cookie.php to my root as well?

or do i put auto_cookies.mod and the install directory in the root/install directory (thus making the path to the cookie.php http://mysite.com/install/install/cookie.php)?

i should not try to think at 1:37 in the morning. Thanks in advance!

You dont need to upload the .mod file it is just there to comply with MOD submission rules ;) It just basically says to upload and run the cookie file.

Please do note promote like this in my threads. It is rude quite frankly and aginst the rules. There is a support forum for a reason.

What exactly is the benefit of installing this MOD? I thought phpBB was placing cookies already? If not (or if it doesn't work), wouldn't it be good to have this MOD be included in the actual distribution as to fix that problem? Or am I being unnecessarily dense here..?
