MOD Authors, please update your MODs appropriately so that they work on 2.0.18! Please submit your new versions ASAP! Thanks.

I'm thinking this is to do with the changes made to those function calls that were causing errors?

IMHO, more relative to FIND statements changing due to the upgrade of phpBB, and some other logical changes place to place, that makes the mods much more difficult to install, at least as-is.

Exactly. As you can see from looking at the Code Changes, there were a LOT of minor changes to the code which can throw off FINDs, in some cases where the only change was adding a space! PARTICULARLY MODs that deal with sessions will be highly affected, as 2.0.18 uses a brand new sessions system backported from Olympus.

i've try to update my mod but i have received an list of paranoic change to do (i only want to change the name of and folder (only for fix an compliancy with EASYMOD) and add some translation).
In answer i read have to rewrite all mod template syntax (15 files to rewrite!!) and have to change principal script of my mod!!!
In addiction when i've asked explain i no have received any type of help from validator!
No-more supporting phpBB

Yeah, that happens, the MOD template has had some changes (but nothing too major) and coding standards have moved on quite a bit over the past few months.

Updating mods that are older than lets say march can be tricky :)
