Running phpBB with a Wiki

Post by rs-bhe.com »

Not too sure where to post this, so I'll try here.

I want to run my phpBB with a MediaWiki project and have it so that people need to be a member of the phpBB in order to access the Wiki.

Has anyone managed to accomplish this?

Thanks.

That looks pretty full on, I would say that if you have no idea how to do it, then either give it a good go and make backups of everything or leave it be........

I havent heard of anyone integrating the two. But you could ask in the Mod Requests forum?

it is hard working with wiki. i dont think it is possible so only reg users can post in wiki. if so, that takes the whole fun out of wiki right away.

well, if you have the instructions, you should be fine. I never heard of it either.

Yeah, you know me and SQL instructions.

It's all a bit Greek to me, so I was hoping to see if anyone else had any success with this.

Could someone help me with this integration?

I could i do it for me self, when both systems were on same domain.
But I have two domains wiki.maxthon.cz and www.maxthon.cz.
http://www.maxthon.cz is extended with mxBB CMS.

On Extension:PHPBB/Users Integration#Separate Domains is wroted that there is a problem and don't work as expected.

Has someone expierience with?

you are going to need someone that is well versed in php, databases, phpbb, etc., to write some integration scripts or do custom work for you.

mxbb is already different from the standard phpbb, so trying to integrate it with a wiki is really going to need someone familiar with mxbb. that is where you need to ask for help.
