Re: Works with PHP 4.x but not with PHP 5.x

Well, after a lot of time wasted trying to get PHP 5.x to work with phpBB, I ended up moving back to PHP 4.3.9 (not 4.4.4), as I found a precompiled version of PHP 4.3.9 with built-in OpenSSL , so I can now send my mails using GMail. If someone is still using PHP 4.x and would like to have SSL func...

Partial fix

Well, after replacing every occurrance of.. $phpbb_root_path = (defined('PHPBB_ROOT_PATH')) ? PHPBB_ROOT_PATH : './'; ..and similar ones by.. $phpbb_root_path = '/forum/'; I could finally get rid of that error message, so my pages now are loaded. The problem now is with stylesheets: it simply doesn...

Re: Works with PHP 4.x but not with PHP 5.x

Now I'm sure the problem has nothing to do with the php file format, because even if I delete the (not found) "common.php" file, I gor exactly the same error message. Another test I did done was regarding the drive where the board is. I moved it form "H:\forum" to "C:\forum". Again, the same error....

Re: No "Can post announcements" item in forum permissions

Just investigated the "*_ACL_OPTIONS" table (directly into the db) and found out there's no "f_announce" row, but there is one for "f_sticky. Perhaps some MOD has killed it. So I entered the missing item (based on a clean database) and managed to post announcements again, but... I still am not able...

That's the problem. Such option does not appear.
The only that appears is: "Can post stickies".

Interesting idea. I will consider the possibility but can't ensure it will be implemented.
