Re: Problem with user authentication

I appear to have cleaned up the issue. In my php.ini, I had mysql.allow_persistent = Off, and I turned it to on. I think that is what solved the problem, though I cannot be sure.

Re: Problem with user authentication

Yes, ric123 - that's pretty much the status. Thank you.

The other server where things work fine (located inside our office, locally) has MySQL 5, but the one where this problem happens is where our website is hosted, and that still has MySQL 4. (Like I said, the problem started yesterday.)

Re: Problem with user authentication

Thank you, ric123. When I login, I get to see the attached screen, with the series of errors on top. Please note that the link next to FAQ ("Logout") does not have the username in the square brackets. The next screen after redirection (the discussions index page), does not even show the "Logout" lin...

Problem with user authentication

I am having a rather weird problem. I've zeroed it down to this line of includes/session.php: else if ($user_id !== false && !sizeof($this->data)) { $this->cookie_data['k'] = ''; $this->cookie_data['u'] = $user_id; $sql = 'SELECT * FROM ' . USERS_TABLE . ' WHERE user_id = ' . (int) $this->cookie_dat...

Re: Could not find email template file

Thank you again for the quick response. I think you have a point (*embarrassed*) - I will check my own sign-up process to see if that is screwing things up.

Re: Could not find email template file

This SQL should fix things: UPDATE phpbb_config SET `config_value` = 'en' WHERE `config_name` = 'default_lang'; UPDATE phpbb_users SET `user_lang` = 'en' WHERE `user_type` <> 2; Thank you for the swift response! I had actually fixed the issue - I wrote because I am puzzled about how it happened, si...

Re: Could not find email template file

I found out what the problem was - the user_lang field was 'LANG' for most users (all those who got added after I migrated to phpBB 3) instead of 'en'. What I am not able to understand is, how did the user_lang field become 'LANG'? And will it continue to be 'LANG' for all new users? Did I screw up ...

Re: SEO MOD

I do not know if this request has been made before, but could someone (preferably the original mod writer, but also perhaps someone who has extensively worked with this mod in the process of installing it) post a new version of this mod, completely debugged? From all the posts on this thread, it see...

I am using 3.0.4. I've been trolling through this thread, and I refer to this post in this very thread: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?p=5716395#p5716395 I have just one doubt - if I download and install this mod, do I need to do anything else after that (like that list of things pointed out in that pos...

Thanks! Can I know when the "IF not postrow.U_POST_AUTHOR" in that piece of code above will happen?

Re: Error in functions_content.php?

As in, how is it different from 'POST_AUTHOR'? I am confused here, in styles/prosilver/template/viewtopic_body.html:

Code: Select all

<!-- IF not postrow.U_POST_AUTHOR --><strong>{postrow.POST_AUTHOR_FULL}</strong><!-- ELSE -->{postrow.POST_AUTHOR_FULL}<!-- ENDIF -->
Thanks for the reply.
