Re: The config setting "version" unexpectedly does not exist.

I just dumped all the tables and did a full reimport, so all is good

Re: The config setting "version" unexpectedly does not exist.

It turned out that the import into my test database went awry - that row didn't even exist in the config file

Re: How to manually add attachments

but there's no thumbnail, Have your created the thumbnails during your manual creation of the attachments? The physical name of the thumbnails must be exactly the same as of the main file, prepended by a thumb_ to enable phpBB to find the thumbnail file Thanks - I had that figured out eventually :)

Yeah I did that. Somehow it came right, and I can see the file, but there's no thumbnail, so I get the broken image. Need to figure it out, Just wish there was some what to do this less onerously. To do it for over 100 documents is a PITA

How to manually add attachments

Hi all I have a large number of pretty big files that I have on my site which I had in a joomla document management system. I am abandoning the joomla side. Is there an easy way to attach these files already on my site to posts? I cant upload them as per normal as some are over 200 megs. I have trie...

The config setting "version" unexpectedly does not exist.

Hi all I'm trying to upgrade my 3.0.9 board to a 3.1.9 test version. I have followed the instructions but have hit this snag when performing the database_update I get the error "The config setting "version" unexpectedly does not exist." and then the update stops. Updating database to latest stable r...

Re: Redirects question

Many thanks. That will sort out links that are within my board, but what about external links to my board? Google?

Redirects question

With the release of 3.1 I'm rationalizing my whole site, getting rid of Joomla and basing everything on phpBB However Joomla was in root and the forum is in /forum I want to move the forum into the root. I have a load of links with /forum in them so I was wondering how to implement redirects on my s...

Document Management in phpBB

Hi all I guess Document Management is probably not the right term. I have a number of large files, some of which are over 100MB, which currently I control through Joomla's jdownloads extension. I'm wanting to get rid of all of the joomla stuff and bring it over to phpBB. Essentially I used FTP to up...

Re: How to remove references to attachments that no longer e

Thanks Steve That was my fear - about 200 attachments out of 6000 I cant deal with. It just looks so unprofessional. The backup issue was a miscommunication of host backup strategy, so I'll leave that to school fees. The only thing I can think of is somehow crawling the site for the text saying the ...

How to remove references to attachments that no longer exist

I had an issue with my board recently which resulted in the lost of a number of attachments which were irrecoverable (dont ask about backups and I won't tell). Now I used the stk to remove the attachments from the database for the missing attachment files. But the problem is some of these attachment...

Re: Best Practices for phpBB develepment (Noob alert!)

I'm just reviving this discussion because i'm still struggling with the most efficient method to migrate development changes to production. I have now actually created a separate domain on which I do my phpBB upgrade and mod testing. Currently what I do before any new changes are to be made I copy t...

Re: [DEV] "Like" Mod

This Mod is currently under Development. The current version 0.0.4 does work with PHPBB 3.0.9 (ModX Installer). FYI, there is also a Thank You Mod in the Mods Database, in case that is what you are looking for. Thanks Pete Pete Thanks for the prompt response. The only Thank You mod I could find was...

Re: [DEV] "Like" Mod

What is the current status of this MOD?

This seems to be the closest thing to one of vBulletin's thank you mods which I am struggling to find an equivalent of.

Will this dev vesrion work on 3.0.9?
