Re: Server Error while Trying to Update 3.0.12 to 3.0.13

Robert,

Thank you!!! How in God's green earth I missed that it was a 3.1 update I was pulling down I have no clue; but I have to thank you for helping me solve a week long (stubborn) problem.

Much appreciation.

Kevin Clark;

The true ignorance you cured was embarrassingly simple - yet completely overlooked by me.

Thank you very much!!!

I'd Like to remove the MOVED Tag

I have a simple problem, and it is called IGNORANCE. I moved some posts on the blog, and in most cases I made sure that the MOVED tag was not left behind (with the old topic), since I don't want it in the active Forum. What MOVED tag am I talking about? moved.jpg That be the one. How do I clean up a...

Re: Edit Post Error - makes no sense

Kudos to you Oyabun1 , The problem was in the file functions_posting.php , for some reason all the other files had updated properly; but this one was not. Both lines 1873 and 1875 had not updated. Once I updated it per the link you posted; the forum is now working 100%. Thank you very much for your ...

Re: Edit Post Error - makes no sense

Thank you for your help.

I upgraded from 3.0.9 to 3.0.10

I try to always upgrade within 3 - 5 weeks (based on work load) of release of a new version.

Re: Edit Post Error - makes no sense

stevemaury, I think I confused you so let me fill out the full request template, and perhaps things will make more sense. My board is 3 years old and has been running very well, with only minor issues in the last 3 years. It's a small group and we have only about 2,400 posts (picture two posts up fr...

Re: Edit Post Error - makes no sense

Please pardon my ignorance, I tried to install the latest update package but since I have RC1 installed it won't do the automatic update, and I've never done the manual version. Here's what I get when I put in the INSTALL folder with the new update version RC3: phpBBAdmin20120102.jpg As you recommen...

Edit Post Error - makes no sense

I run phpbb 3.0.10RC1 that I just installed yesterday. I made an entry today and realized I needed to edit it, so I hit the edit button, the edit screen came up; I made the change and I got the following error: General Error SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ] Column 'poll_start' cannot be null [1048] SQL UPDATE p...

Re: Discuss phpBB 3.0.7 released

Thanks guys,

I just ran the update from 3.0.5 to 3.0.7 - a bit nervous - but when it was all said and done; for once there was more done than said!!!

Well done

Re: Mass e-mail problem 3.0.5

Working with my hosting company they showed me that for the few members I have, it is easy to do a looping program that sends out one (1) email per person. They said they could not give me the code they used, but that people in the PHP community would know what I was talking about. For example: I Ha...

Re: Mass e-mail problem 3.0.5

Pit$Bul, I asked and here is the reply. Hello Paul, Thank you for following up with us. In our server you can send 200 e-mails per hour and 2,000 e-mails per day via CGI script. Maximum number of recipients per e-mail while e-mail sent via CGI script is 4. However, if you wish to send e-mail to more...

Re: Upgrading from 3.0.1 to 3.0.5

If you're asking about the copy of the back up database, I kept it for a week and then made a new back up.

If you are asking where did I put it when I made it, I downloaded it to my computer just in case I had to put it back.

I hope I answered your question.
