Rename admin, which fields I have to update in ACP?

For security reasons I want to rename the user admin to something else, once I did that, what pages and settings I have to go to reflect the changes to make sure that the board doesn't loose any of the functions or becomes crippled? What is easier: To rename the admin or promote another user to the ...

Re: How to hide the Site Admin from the list of "Members"?

Kevin, thanks, I got it! It was on the 2nd page, I got the number and replaced the 2 with that number and it did the magic right away. :D

Re: How to hide the Site Admin from the list of "Members"?

I couldn't found it. I saw the anonymous was 1 and it was followed by a bot with number 3, then 4, 5, 6 etc..

Re: How to hide the Site Admin from the list of "Members"?

How to hide the Site Admin from the list of "Members"?

How do you hide the whole row of info on the Site Admin from the "Members" list?
(IMHO the forum users don't need to know what username is being used by the Site admin for fundamental security reasons.)

Cannot find author changer in MCP

How do you change the author in the MCP? On what level do you have to be in order to be able to change the author of a message: do you have to open the message and THEN click on MCP, or you have to be in the topic view? So far I cannot find the command for changing author.

Re: Edited topic, how to make it a new topic?

Thanks for the solution! After a while I found out why I could not bump topics. Because I set the minimum bump interval to 0 (zero) in the false belief, that I can bump a topic right away, I don't have to wait not even a minute. (I should have read the instruction right at the setting.)
Thanks!

Re: Edited topic, how to make it a new topic?

I cannot find the "bump topic" link. I checked the permissions of users, forums, I cannot find any reason. Even if I log in as owner with all rights, cannot see the bumping link.

Edited topic, how to make it a new topic?

Hi, I maintain a read only topic with one message in it, once a month I upload a new word document (meeting minutes) in it but after submitting the document, the original date of creation is still there, and nothing indicates to members that it is a new topic or at least it is a topic with new info ...
