Re: PHPBB error

Awesome, thanks. That worked perfectly. I appreciate it very much. Can't believe it took me this long to notice that, though. I've been in that area of my forums before. lol~

PHPBB error

I get the following errors whenever I am viewing a private message I sent. Is there something I can do to correct this? Thank you. [phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions_privmsgs.php on line 1818: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed [phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file...

Re: Add Homepage link in header

Ok, I was to clarify something... lol~ When I was doing this before, I was opening it directly from the zip file and not extracting it. Doing this is no good. It wasn't displaying it correctly. I had extracted it before I wrote my last message, but had not tried opening it again. Anyway, it is displ...

Re: Add Homepage link in header

Hi, I've never installed a mod before, and don't know how to do it. The post that explains how to install a mod says to follow the instructions in the install_mod.xml, but the instructions do not display correctly for me, and I don't actually see anywhere where it says to do something. Can you tell ...

Re: sql error [mysql4]

This is shared hosting so it is not only your site using the database. Every database has a connection limit. Uh, mine is the only website using my database... O.o And I don't share my hosting. I have no clue what you mean. Yes, GoDaddy hosts other people's websites, and yes, they host other people...

Re: sql error [mysql4]

Your host provider set a limit for max connections with the database. I strongly recommend you change the provider to another. I was the only person on my website when this happened, and I have never gotten this before I had added phpBB to my site. I don't think this is the reason I got the error i...

sql error [mysql4]

I refreshed a page in my forums (the reply to topic page) and got this error. Now, I can't go anywhere on my website without getting this error. Can someone tell me what this is for and what causes it so I can fix it? Thanks. General Error SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ] Too many connections [1040] An sql erro...

Re: Show Online User Count on None-PHPBB Page

Thanks to the above help, I was able to do this. Here is the code I used. $time = time() - 300; $sql = "SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT session_user_id) FROM phpbb_sessions WHERE session_time > '" . $time . "' AND session_user_id > '1'"; $sql2 = "SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT session_id) FROM phpbb_sessions WHERE ses...

Re: Odd BB Code (for me)

I actually didn't receive any notices at the top of my page, but I just ended up writing my own filter script for this, and I have that working. Thanks for the help, though.

Re: Show Online User Count on None-PHPBB Page

$sql = 'SELECT COUNT(user_id) FROM phpbb_sessions WHERE session_lastclick > ' . time() - 3600; Hi, and thanks for replying. I'm actually just wanting to show the number of logged-in users online, and the number of guests online. But looking at what you just wrote, I think I may be able to do this. ...

Re: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare gen_sort_selects()

Paul wrote:you have included functions_contents.php twice ;)
But I only have it included once, and used in my script the include_once() method. Anyhow, I just wrote my own script to do what I was wanting to do, and that seems to be working alright. Thanks for the help.

Re: Odd BB Code (for me)

Have a look at the Parsing text article. Thanks for the point in the right direction. However, I am still having this problem. I have been able to get the text parsed somewhat, but the bbcode is not parsing. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Right now, one of my paragraphs look like: The clan own...

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare gen_sort_selects()

I am calling this file (though not this particular function) from my own function that I wrote. I am having no problems with the forums part of my website, but I am displaying a thread on my home page for my news, and was using the generate_text_for_display() function. Anyways, I've included this fi...

Show Online User Count on None-PHPBB Page

Hi, I am integrating phpBB3 into my website, and want to show how many users are online on my index page, the same way it shows the total users and guests at the bottom of the forums page. I'm just not sure how to go about doing this. Nor am I sure how to show that a member is on my non-forums pages...

Odd BB Code (for me)

When you store an URL in the database, a random character/integer mix is created and stored inside of the bbcode. Example: [url:2kk9d69i]http://vgt-central.com[/url:2kk9d69i] My question is why is this here, and how does phpBB filter this out and turn this into a regular anchor link? I have a filter...
