Superb. It has worked like charm :)

Should I restore those files with proper DB details updated or those files are not required at all ?

Re: Which changes are required for Hosting change ?

yes. that is what connects to the database. so, once you have created your new database on the new server imported your backup to it and uploaded all of the phpbb files, you simply edit the config.php fileto reflect the database changes and you are done. robert I did exactly that. But, even after c...

Re: Which changes are required for Hosting change ?

Thanks. It seems that this instruction set is for 3.0.x. But, mine is 3.1.2. So, will the instructions be same ?

Practically, it seems, only config.php needs to be modified.

Which changes are required for Hosting change ?

I need to shift web hosting of a phpBB 3.1.2 forum. Naturally, DB Name, Username, Password and Host will be different. Can someone please tell me in which files I need to make changes for this transfer ?

Re: Heard about Bitcoin ?

I don't personally use BitCoin (not yet anyways), but have friends that do. One even has a dedicated room and multiple GPUs running to mine BitCoins. In simple terms, this means that he processes BitCoin blockchains, and receives small percentages of BitCoin in return. BitCoin has the ability to be...

Re: Heard about Bitcoin ?

Anyone having doubt about Bitcoin and its future should watch this video where Andreas M. Antonopoulos educates Senate of Canada about Bitcoin. It is the 2 hour of your life wasted today that you'll cherish in future...

Re: Heard about Bitcoin ?

No. Not unless you actually turn your OP into a discussion. Just linking to another site like that, turns it into spam. You should be starting with an explanation of your topic and how it has changed your own life, like you did in your two later posts. You notice how I left your link in the one. Ok...

Re: Heard about Bitcoin ?

So you bought "Various web products" and "hosting" of some sort. That is not very descriptive. Well... to be specific those are domain name and web hosting only. Interestingly a lot of web hosting companies are lately accepting Bitcoin. By the way, may I update the whitepaper and movie links in the...

Re: Heard about Bitcoin ?

What is your personal experience in using Bitcoin? I could do instant transaction across the globe at less cost. I'm not from USA, but I buy various web products from USA. As long as I used credit card, I was charged a big Forex commission + CC processing fee. After Bitcoin, I dont need to pay for ...

Re: Heard about Bitcoin ?

I totally agree with Robert .... It is being used extensively for illegal reasons and it saddens me to see celebrities express their support for it e.g. Sir Richard Branson. Bitcoin is the perfect way to pay for drugs and weapons when you wish to stay anonymous! Let's help the criminals!! :o Bitcoi...

May I know the logic behind considering the Bitcoin whitepaper as spam ? There was no referral attached to the link that could earn me a single penny !!!

Heard about Bitcoin ?

How many of you here have heard of Bitcoin ? For those, who are reading this word for the first time, Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency. It was first conceptualized by a pseudo-anonymous cryptographer, named Satoshi Nakamoto. You might like to read his whitepaper at www.coinlearn.org/white...
