Dan Stylez! Let me know whether you'd prefer the mug or the cards (and PM me your address) and I'll get that posted out soon. And you are definitely overthinking this ...

Re: What programming language i should study?

If you would like to learn about developing new functionality for your forum through extensions, or maybe building a website, I think some good starting points would be: - HTML and CSS (look and feel) - PHP and Javascript (functionality) - SQL (database queries) The great thing is there is so much i...

Re: How to buy Bertie

At the present time find a collector or some owner who wants to get rid of it, I don't think there is a production going on as far as I know. The 2004 Bertie must be a real collectors item then! Who else still has their original Bertie with the white jumper? https://camo.phpbb.com/467b5bb246b3c0a87...

Re: How can i get rss/atom link from phpbb site for post bot

There is no such feature currently available in the Customisations DB. You're welcome to request it and it will get reviewed for inclusion in a future release. i did it  Thanks for your suggestion ivailo95, I've written this feature and it will soon be included in the CDB. https://github.com/...

Re: Custom post validation after user submits and before DB insert / update

It's definitely doable, but how will you differentiate between something which is unacceptable like: sem . Quisque And something which is acceptable like a code snippet: $x = $y . $z; I don't think this would be too difficult to write, but only if you're willing to accept that by enforcing some of t...

Re: VIGLink

Just a note to say, I was happy to leave Vglink on my forum but some of the sites it links to are not old dear friendly and some of the old dears on my forum were rather offended. :( Even after I killed it via FTP etc the links still show. It behaves like spyware. As far as I'm aware, Viglink does ...

Alex I've run a few sports forums, phpBB serves the purpose very well. Especially when you do things like live game-day threads and polls for voting. It's a lot of f...

Re: Help the users to backup the topics

The only in-built option would be to use the "print view" button for the pages you want to save - and then print to PDF.
