Re: Mac App Store

They aren't proposing to make it the only way to get Applications (yet), just offering it as another method. Kinda like an Apple run version of Steam. So long as they don't start making it so that you can't install apps manually, I don't see how it can be anything but a good thing to give people mor...

Re: Please help

OK thanks . So what happens to passwords from phpbb2 when one updates to phpbb3 ? Do they get transfered directly = they are still the same or does the update unhash them and then rehash them in another hash ? = all one would have to do is compare hashes before and after update to have a good start...

Re: Some things are not showing up in my forum

Did you clear the cache (ACP => General => Resynchronise or reset statistics => Purge the cache) after uploading the new versions? And refresh the imageset (ACP => Styles => Style components => Imagesets => Prosilver SE => Actions => Refresh)?

Yes, but if we want the extended versions we still have to wait. Grrr.

Re: Some things are not showing up in my forum

Could you check the file on your server? Just to make sure. I really can't think of any other option at this point that isn't you testing with a fresh copy of the style and language pack. It seems likely that one of them is corrupt (and I'm leaning towards it being the style). Also, I can't test the...

Re: Some things are not showing up in my forum

Hmm...
So, you go to http://plataformamirabal-foros.co.cc/st ... ageset.cfg, hit view source, and it isn't at the bottom of the file?

I tried it in multiple browsers to check it wasn't one of my extensions playing up...

Re: Some things are not showing up in my forum

True. If you backed up the current version, then replaced it temporarily, it should at least reveal if the issue is with the style (possibly a bad edit somewhere?). Or you could upload a new version, changing the names (especially in the .cfg files) to something else, and install it a second time. E...

Re: Some things are not showing up in my forum

Hmm, the style.cfg shows 1.0.3, but template.cfg, theme.cfg and imageset.cfg all show 1.0.5... So, maybe you just didn't update style.cfg (which I don't think should matter).

I'd replace Prosilver SE with a fresh copy to see if that helps. Maybe the Language pack too. Then clear the cache.

Re: Some things are not showing up in my forum

Couple of questions,
  1. When you installed 3.0.7-PL1, did you install the latest version of the Spanish Language Pack?
  2. Are you running the latest version (1.0.5) of Prosilver SE?

Re: Re wrote a BBcode now its not working

Old posts won't work because the BBCode in them won't be correctly flagged in the database, all the posts need to be processed again.

I'd suggest taking a look at the Support Tool Kit, it has a tool for just that job (Reparse BBCode)

Re: Images won't display in posts

Its hard to analyse without getting a look at the site... My only suggestion is to check that there isn't a word censor changing part of the url, since there is a bug in the tracker related to that ( http://tracker.phpbb.com/browse/PHPBB3-9496 ) Otherwise, it'll be hard without more information. Fil...

Re: Forum keep asking login even if "stay logged" is checked

Sounds like a cookie problem. Your cookie settings (ACP > General > Server configuration > Cookies) are likely incorrect, so the forum is falling back on putting a session id (the "sid={hexcode}") in the url. When they click your sig link, or enter the address manually/for a bookmark, the sid isn't ...

Re: Spam Rules on These Forums

So why did this guy get his link deleted then? All he was doing was asking for help, and we can't help him if we can't see his site. This is certainly not int he interest of open source and sharing ideas. 1. It was a version 2 forum. Version 2 has been EOLed, and support is no longer availab...
