Computer Specs in Profile

I've done some poking around but haven't quite found what I'm looking for... I'd like my forum members to be able to enter their computer specs (cpu, motherboard, ram, etc) and have that display in their Profile (maybe even Poster Profile?) -OR- simply be able to upload their dxdiag file and have th...

Sig Stripper

The phpBB2 version: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 7&t=331773

Anyone know of a mod that made it's way into phpBB3 with this functionality?

Threads that are image or text intensive sometimes look a LOT better if the sigs can be turned off for the entire thread.

Re: PHP code parsed in a post?

I obviously don't want anyone to be able to do this

As an Administrative function, a thread with PHP in it could be very handy to display an infinite number of things.

If you don't know how to do it or of a mod, a simple 'no' would've sufficed.

Re: Rebuilding Attachment Thumbnails

Can someone point me in the direction of the function in phpBB that makes the actual thumbnails?

I could probably write an ACP add-on if I just knew what phpBB called to create the thumbnails in the first place.

PHP code parsed in a post?

Maybe I'm missing something in the ACP, but here's what I'd like to do:

Create a post that contains some PHP code (SQL query, data return, etc) and show THAT at the post's content.

Any mods or built-in functionality for this sort of thing?

Re: [REQUEST] Custom Profile Fields Checkbox

Did a search - came up with this old thread. I am looking for this same functionality in 3.0.2. A profile field that allows the user to check items from a category. For example: Type of Press: [ ] Web [ ] Sheetfed [ ] Wide-Format [ ] Digital [ ] Flexo And allow the user to check none, some or all of...

Re: Category Announcement?

Any takers? Anyone have a general idea of where this would start? I could possibly modify it myself but I'm not even sure where the php or template files reside that contain the Announcement Posts :(

Re: Listing a User's Memberships

Nice. Added this code before Load Custom Profile Fields: // Load Group Names $grp_query = "SELECT g.group_name, ug.user_id FROM "; $grp_query .= GROUPS_TABLE; $grp_query .= " g, "; $grp_query .= USER_GROUP_TABLE; $grp_query .= " ug WHERE ug.user_pending = 0 AND g.group_id = ug.group_id AND "; $grp_q...

Re: Options for sticky, announcement and global not showing up ?

Ok, I found one way to fix the problem. for anyone else that has the issue. Go to the ACP Open the "Users and Groups" tab go to 'groups forum permissions' look up admin or moderator select all forums its the "Can post announcements" setting that needs changed to 'yes', but I just clicked 'all yes' ...

Re: Listing a User's Memberships

After some more DB digging - I guess I also want to only display groups where group_type!=3 (i.e. groups not standard to phpBB).

I don't know if that complicates it any :(

Listing a User's Memberships

I am attempting to list a user's memberships underneath their rank in the Poster profile block. From the UCP, I see that this code lists all the groups a user is a member of: <!-- IF .member --> <ul class="topiclist"> <li class="header"> <dl> <dt>{L_GROUP_MEMBER}</dt> <dd class="mark">{L_SELECT}</dd...

Re: Rebuilding Attachment Thumbnails

Apparently not. I'm still very surprised this isn't in phpBB as a basic maintenance function.

Re: Category Announcement?

Doh. Ok, that's probably what I'll have to do... for all 14 forums :(

Didn't really realize that "Topic Copy" was a function tho, thanks for the heads up.

--Edit--
Any mods wanna copy/move this to the MOD Request forum? :)

Category Announcement?

I have a forum split into a Public and Member area, both under their own Categories. I'd like an Announcement to span across all forums within the Member Category. Global will span it across ALL forums as I understand it. Is there a way to get a post to nicely appear at the top of all the forums wit...

phpBB as a Mailing List/User Group?

I've been a long-time user/admin of phpBB and have always used it as forum-based software. I'm looking to create a site that follows the suit of Yahoo or Google's user groups. A linear/flat display of "posts" which get emailed to everyone subscribed. Maybe separate categories using a forum setup, bu...
