Board not loading at all. Is it just my computer?

Hello Within the last month my board has randomly started to not show. It could very well be my computer thats the problem, or my internet connection but its been doing it frequently (and right now). I've tried different browsers and different computers and still nothing. Can someone else test it, o...

Fresh install, transfered data, can't login.

Hello I have been having some problems with certain parts of my forum and with major spam issues. So I thought maybe I'll install a fresh copy of phpbb in a different directory with different table_prefix then transfer data over and start semifresh. So I did all of this, but now can't login, even wi...

Re: Custom Page With PHP In It.

It appears that the globals are not making it through into your functions for some reason. I don't use functions to often (more of an if/else) guy for all my scripts, so I'm not sure why they wouldn't be working. I removed the function tag from the page and everything should up within the phpbb cust...

Re: Custom Page With PHP In It.

OK, I got this working now. First you must enable PHP use within your Admin Control Panel. (This was something I was missing before). Second you setup your main php file that will go in the root directory, we will call this main.php. Then place this code in that file. <?php define('IN_PHPBB', true);...

Re: Custom Page With PHP In It.

OK, first t_backoff, I have tried that tutorial and that is for straight html. If you read the tutorial it makes you add a body file which can only contain html. If you try to add php it does not work. If you place additional code in the php file mentioned it displays the output at the top of the pa...

Custom Page With PHP In It.

hello I am trying to setup a new small little site and would like to use PHPbb as the backbone for the user system. I am trying to create a new page to look exactly like the forum but the page must contain php. I read through the documentation on adding a new custom page but that only seems to work ...

Re: Session Problem, Possibly with Cookies.

Well, I started off with your suggestion and it still didn't fix the problem. I continued on using that site to fix errors on other pages and using dreamweaver did mass 'find and replaces' and basically screwed the whole forum. So I downloaded the latest version, overwrote all the files and while I ...

Session Problem, Possibly with Cookies.

Hello I have had my site running for sometime now on an IIS server and have had no problems. Recently I moved to a new host and was unable to get IIS working properly, so I gave Apache a try. I got Apache, Mysql & PHP up and running, uped my whole site and everything seemed to work pretty well. The ...

Re: Cookie/Session problems

So the problem seems to be with the fact that I had WAMP server installed. I uninstalled it and installed IIS and everything worked wonders after that.

Cookie/Session problems

Hello So I have had my site setup (my site with phpbb3 as part of it) for over 6 months with no problems. At the time I was hosting on a friends server. He decided to shut his server off so I bought into a new server and got things moved over. Once moved I began having problems with my site remember...

Can not find the background color anywhere.

Hey So I have been looking through every page within my forum and I can not find where the background color is. I have looked through all the css files and the overall header. I have changed random parts of css files and have purged the cache everytime and it will not change. I also just tried addin...
