It's a problem, yes. You see, the MOD only sends the mass PM from the Admin who created the board, and who installed phpBB. You see, most people have more than one admin on their board, or as I do, five. My other admins have sent out mass PMs, but the sender is recorded as me, not the admin who was ...

Can anyone post a link to the 'iai_alice.zip' file listed in the installation instructions? The site seems to be down, and I have looked throughout this thread QUICKLY to see if there are any links, and found none.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have already made something like this - but it's just a cobbled together file that could probably have been done a lot better. I just installed the Login Box MOD, and altered the 'lb_logged_in.tpl' file to add a link to my member's section. This way, they only see the link if they are logge...

great MOD! I go to school with all my board's members, and I get a LOT of flack for banning / deleting / altering a user's account or posts! This MOD is juts what I needed! IT's like something that you don't know you need until you try it! Cheers, Karlg! But have you updated your original post with ...

yeah, sorry!

I sorted out my problem by using the Login Box MOD and a little help from Xore on finding out which lines of code block a user that's not logged in from viewing the page! Thanks Anyways...!

YES!! It works just as it should, as with all of your MODs. It took me a lot less time than I was expecting - no errors or problems were encountered! A big THANKYOU goes out to Xore for all the time and effort he puts in to helping phpBB become what it is! It wouldn't be the same without you! THANKY...

Thanks for all the help! Now I can actually understand what all this means! I'll try it now, but I probably won't be able to reply until tomorrow...

THANKYOU!

hey, I have tried putting in the code you mentioned above like this, <?php if ( !$userdata['session_logged_in'] ) { redirect(append_sid("login.$phpEx?redirect=members/index.$phpEx", true)); } ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.or...

Help Needed! Limit A User That Isn't Logged In's Access...

Hello, I need to know how I can stop a user that is not logged in from viewing a page. I have noticed that when trying to access certain pages without being logged on then it will redirect you to login.php . So you see, I really would like to know which part of the code in memberlist.php stops a use...

well, i don't think that is compatible with 2.0.8, which I am running. The first step of the VERY SHORT MOD is to find: $msn = ( $postrow[$i]['user_msnm'] ) ? '<a href="' . $temp_url . '">' . $lang['MSNM'] . '</a>' : ''; in viewtopic.php . I don't know if it is just all the MODs I have ins...

Login.php Alterations

Hello, I know that this may seem quite an easy question to you, but this is my first MOD, or even attempt at creating a .php file, so don't laugh! I have my slightly MODed login page, as follows: <?php /*************************************************************************** * login.php * -------...

My board has this capability. You want to install the 'Profie Control Panel' MOD. This does not only solve your problem, but adds a lot of other features to a user's profile. It's quite a hard MOD to install (that is my view, I'm a newbie!), but the rewards are well worth it! I have included a scree...

Altered Login...?

Hello, I am trying to make a modified login page that will give a user access to other pages on my site, which has other parts to it other than the forum. I was thinking about just using .htaccess, but then I realised that the database stores the passwords in MD5 encryption like .htaccess, so there ...

thanks. I'm pretty sure that the Protect Users Account MOD doesn't change the hashes, it just freezes accounts if the password is incorrect when a user is trying to login and other stuff like that. Anyway, Thanks for the help. I'm glad to see that with quality software comes quality support! I will ...
