I have replaced this line on: preg_match_all('/(\*?[à-ÿa-z0-9]+\*?)|\b([à-ÿa-z0-9]+)\b/', $entry, $split_entries); This will split words containing the letter '¸' into two words, because in Windows-1251 that letter is stored not in-between the first and the last letter of the alphabet, but in the m...

I saw you guys posted your MODs in a some kind of a 'standardized' format. Is there a program that can appy such a MOD, or (if no) why don't you use the standard GNU diff to generate MODs? That would make it very easy to apply them.

Anyone got any ideas about my problem? (i really want to get rid of UBB).. Sure. It's very simple. Unlike CGI, which is usually run with your user id, PHP scripts run under the user id of Apache web server itself, which by default can not write to your directories. Log in to your site using ssh (te...

Hi, Same observation here. Poster ID for all topics is -1. Frank Use my patch for posted_userid and do the similar thing to posted_topicposter, which is a few lines above in the same file. I also suggest that you replace -1 by -2 in those two pieces of code and manually add a user with userid=-2 to...

It's on an NT based server

I think the reason is somewhere around Redmond :)
It may be a caching problem. Doesn't your server or proxy cache php pages?

A good way to speed up execution of the converter after applying my patches, is do the following in your mysql client:

Code: Select all

alter table phpbb_users add index IDX1(username);
That will greatly speed up the database lookups.

I just discovered that my patch only partially helps. It does display the message if you jump to it following the link to the newest post in the forum. However if you open the forum, it doesn't see any topics in there. The reason is similar. UBB5 didn't have the topic poster's userid stored in the p...

Ok, i know where this problem grows from. I have recently upgraded from UBB 5.44, which only had username as ID. UBB 6.1.0 on the other hand has a username, userid and public username. The converter checks for userid, and then if userid is not specified in the UBB post file, it blindly uses the publ...

I have the same problem as franklo here. Topics are converted w/o problems, phpBB shows the number of posts and topics, but the actual topics aren't displayed. phpBB says "There are no posts in this forum". UBB 6.1.0 phpBB 2.0.0 (just downloaded from here) Last version of the converter, just downloa...

Is there a UBB 5.44b to phpBB converter?

I was going to ask that in i18n/Converters, but it said "i must be granted special access" to ask it there. That's why I ask here. I'd like to migrate to phpBB from UBB 5.44b, but I didn't find a converter yet. I can see there is a UBB6 converter discussed in i18n/Converters, but does it suit for UB...
