Is there any overlap between Debian and phpBB personnel and/or interests? Do phpBB personnel have any sort of influence in the Debian world? eg, how did the phpBB2 package come to pass in Debian?

Debian package (apt-get) management for phpBB3 MODs?

What's the feasibility of one day providing Debian-based package-management support (eg, via something like 'apt-get install <phpbb-mod-here>') for phpBB3 MODs, possibly in conjunction with things like this: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=576521 ? Right now, phpBB2 MODs and Debi...

Re: [BETA] phPKG - MOD installer with repositories & packages

(Please forgive me if this question was asked already...)

Is phPKG compatible with phpBB2? (I presume not, but I hope it does not hurt to ask.)

Details: My project is making a collaboration web server that includes MediaWiki, Bugzilla, phpBB forums, and other web-base applications. We are trying to make our own single-login mechanism for all these ap...

HowTo create forum URL alias?

I want to create forum URL aliases as such: Alias: http://myforums.tld/viewforum.php?f=2 to http://myforums.tld/myforumname Does phpBB provide a means to do this out-of-the-box? Otherwise, I make some Apache httpd.conf alias (cumbersome and not controlled by phpBB database) or make some "myforumname...

HowTo modify 2.0.15/16 install for Search/Perm changes?

I want to modify my phpBB 2.0.15/16 installs such that, by default: 1) Searches search for "all" words instead of "any" words (why "any" is the default is perplexing to me) 2) Modify the default permissions values that are used every time a forum is created, so I don't have to manually set the permi...

Can phpBB support "automatic relative URL" generat

Can phpBB support "automatic relative URL" generation? By automatic relative URL" I mean something similar to MediaWiki's "[[]]" construct: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Editing#Links.2C_URLs For example, rather then hard-coding this entire URL into the content of this message: http://www.phpb...

Can a URL point to post/reply in a topic-thread?

I see that I can manually insert a paramter into a phpbb.com/phpBB URL to point to a specific reply in a thread-topic, like this: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=228172&start=1 The "&start=1" appears to point to the 2nd post in the thread. Is there a means to generate this URL via the web...

Looking for File-Download-management MOD

Hello, I am looking for a Pre-packaged MOD(s) that can implement something like the Download Database at phpbb2.de ( http://www.phpbb2.de/dload.php ). Any suggestions/pointers? For what it's worth, I tried searching the MODs database here at phpbb.com...but if I search for "download" it pretty much ...

Move Forums to another category?

How can I move a Forum to another category?

I don't see a means to do this via the 2.0.8 admin panel. I'm open to manual database manipulations if need be.

If my server has no non-english content to serve, how would any browser display it? I seem doubtful that any browser has an automatic language translater built into it...unless something like babelfish is providing some really cool plugins?? Does phpBB have non-english language stuff installed? I do...
