Would it be possible to turn off the points system. Its just not everyone has it yet they still might want a quiz. Basically I would like a quiz like the current set up (4 answers, 3 are wrong) but when you submit your score gets added into a high score table. The timeout idea is cool. Also would it...

your gonna have to get it back via SQL and edit th edatabase yourself Now I'm not sure of what it is exacly but if you have phpmyadmin it will make your life so much easier. I believe you have edit the phpbb2_users (or whatever prefix u have) and alter the field "user_level" to be "1&...

just place the images on and load up the page. then right click the image and select "properties" to view the URL of the image. Then place the image at that URL.

Generally IIRC its something like phpBB/images/avatars/

Where is the cookie and session data sent?

Just wondering where the cookie and session data is sent. Mainly as I have 2 domains linked to the same space. Instead of using the phpBB cookie domain setting I want to have it so that a variable is used that is the host name. eg $string= $HTTP_HOST (don't know what the cookie stuff is but then ins...

Well I have been thinking of this for the last 10 minutes and have come up with some stuf fto think about -Some sort of time restriction on where the image can appear. If I have read this correctly it edits itself into a new random post once clicked. As boards can have a lot of topics spread over a ...

poll to be placed somewhere away from phpbb directory

just wondering how I would go about placing a poll from a forum (16) of my board in to a small area on a page well away from the phpBB2/ area. I looked up what has been posted here before but I can't seem to get it to work outside of the board area. This is what I have so far(btw this will be in an ...

Setting up my news forum?

Just wondering how I could go about creating it so in my news Forum I could have an addition option where you can select what type of news it is. That way when I link to it from another page I can find out what kind of news it is and either filter it or add various tags dependent on it. I'm sorry if...

I use Easyspace they are a superb host but they are about £150 a year for the somain name and bits and bobs that you need for phpBB (the 200meg version at the least. As for installation it really is easy. Easyspace send you the passwords, databasename and host for your mysql access and you simply ma...
