Re: MOD upload issues

How would I know what php runs as? I've tried 755/644 and 777/777 and neither seem to allow me to see the MOD available from the AutoMOD tab. Maybe I'm missing something?

MOD upload issues

Hey all. First off, thanks for providing this open forum for discussing these issues. Really appreciate it. I'm using the latest version of phpBB3 as of this post (3.0.11) and have recently installed AutoMOD. My server configuration is all manual. I purchased the server and had a hookup with a local...

Re: 3.0.5 Board Preferences blank

Well, I copied over the untouched version of ucp_prefs.php and that fixed the issue. Something I noticed while using diff to peruse what was different between the two files is there was a line with this: 'posts_pp' => request_var('posts_pp',(!empty($user->data['user_posts_per_page'])) ? $user->data[...

Re: 3.0.5 Board Preferences blank

I don't recall this being a problem a couple of months ago. Why would updating the version fix this all of a sudden? I'm all for upgrading, but it doesn't seem like this alone would be the root cause for the issue. Also, Pit, would you happen to have some sort of pre/post upgrade checklist? The last...

Re: 3.0.5 Board Preferences blank

In Admin cp, went to General tab and clicked Run Now for "Purge the Cache". I then cleared my own browser cache and I'm getting the same thing. I even had the hosting admin restart apache. What gives?

Re: 3.0.5 Board Preferences blank

What's strange is that I don't recall making any changes to those files manually. I do have another admin that helps with the site, so it's entirely possible. How do I get the server to know about the change in the php file?

Re: 3.0.5 Board Preferences blank

Ok, found some additional data. When I looked in error_log, I found the following line: [06-Apr-2011 17:14:21] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ')' in /home/perfect9/public_html/nalsportbike/includes/ucp/ucp_prefs.php on line 296 So I vi'ed the file and...

Re: 3.0.5 Board Preferences blank

Thanks pitbull. I'll do that. In the meantime, about the upgrade, we tried this one time before and were met with some pretty disastrous results. Is there an official HOWTO somewhere on doing this with the least impact?

Backup Scheduler

I'm trying to install this mod properly, but apparently I'm missing something because it appears this mod should have its own tab. However, after the install, I see no extra tab and no way to access the Backup Scheduler's control panel to adjust my backups. Can someone please confirm, from step 1, h...

Switching Host Providers, moving forums, backup/restore

Hey all, I'm switching hosts. I've performed a full backup from the old host and have restored this backup tarball on the new host. I believe the extra required step is to also backup the database for my php forum which I have done and have scp'ed over to the new host. I haven't yet restored the dat...

Re: Installing automod issue

I'm thinking I should have been more clear. The existing directories that were present in the root of the domain directory were renamed to includesold, admold, etc. Then the directories that were in the upload directory were moved out of it into the root of the domain directory so as not to overwrit...

Installing automod issue

Hi all. First post so if this is a retarded question, my apologies up front. So I followed Jelly Doughnut's handy install howto. Being that I'm paranoid, before moving the contents of the upload directory into the root of my domain (where phpbb3 was installed), I renamed folders that were about to b...
