Re: Reward-system like Twitch?

While I do understand, but the first scenario is just making ‘additional’ steps that are unnecessary. Why not just donate to that user straight away? Why first go through a board.

And I don’t think it’s possible. As the money needs to be somewhere and a phpbb forum is not a bank.

I am glad you like the ACP module.
Always a struggle to make something nice out of phpBB's default ACP :P

Re: Using a custom profile field value in templates

<!-- NOTE: Use a construct like this to include admin defined profile fields. Replace FIELD1 with the name of your field. --> So that would mean: <!-- IF S_PROFILE_RABBIT --> <dt>{PROFILE_RABBIT_NAME}{L_COLON}</dt> <dd>{PROFILE_RABBIT_VALUE}</dd> <!-- ENDIF --> And by default custom profile fields a...

Re: Cannot correctly use viewtopic_body_contact_fields_after.html event.

You probably should not assign them yourself but have to merge the array back into the event. I am guessing you are using the core.viewtopic_modify_post_row event. So then you'll have to do something like this: $post_row = $event['post_row']; $data_introduciator = $event['user_poster_data']['datas_i...

Re: phpBB manualy create forum posts with SQL query

When creating a post there are a lot of 'small' things you have to take into consideration aswell. For example the Forums and Topics table have to be updated aswell, with their 'last post and poster' information. Use the submit_post() function in functions_posting.php and let phpBB handle about the ...

Re: Align image image left and Text next to it

The clearfix should not be added twice.
It should wrap around both col=1 and col=2.
[clearfix] [col=1]Left[/col] [col=2]Right[/col] [/clearfix]

Re: Align image image left and Text next to it

Alternatively you can make use of phpBB's native classes, which will need two BBCodes. BBCode usage: [clearfix]{TEXT}[/clearfix] HTML Replacement: <div class="clearfix">{TEXT}</div> BBCode usage: [col={NUMBER}]{TEXT}[/col] HTML Replacement: <div class="column{NUMBER}">{TEXT}</div> Then you can use i...

Re: How to Update Extensions Table?

Just to add to what david means, is the public function depends_on() (and possibly even public function effectively_installed() ). Also, and this is a guess, you can probably use something else than UINT , which will allow numbers from 0 to 16,777,215. While I think you're more after a number betwee...

Re: [ALPHA] [3.2] PG Social Network

It's better to not run the SQL query directly from your migration file: https://github.com/PGreca/pgsocial/blob/master/migrations/install_pg_social_03.php#L23 Altering SQL queries may differ per driver class. Instead, use the migration tool for altering an existing column: https://area51.phpbb.com/d...

Re: Import Topics from CSV file

You can try using the get_user_id_name() function in functions_user.php instead. ( See here ) Otherwise, perhaps something like this will work: function getUserId($id) { global $db; $sql = 'SELECT user_id, username, user_colour FROM ' . USERS_TABLE . ' WHERE username_clean = "' . $db->sql_escape(utf...

Re: Dice Roll particular system - php extension

Let me just say, after just finishing a complete dice extension, it's a lot of work and time. So just a heads up to you, there is a good possibility that people do not think that the reward (50e) stands up to the costs. Also, you should look at some of the 'account linking' extensions, as I don't th...

Re: Sync functions in core

Why not simply override the poster after a post submission to anonymous and store the post details (post id, topic id, user id) in your own table so an admin can still see who made the post.
