Okay - so, why then, when these users try to log in, do they not get a new SID (or, update the SID with the user ID - not really sure how that whole thing works...) Do you think it's something to do with the IP address verification? The users don't get any invalid ID messages. They just stay as gues...

If you want to move FROM phpBB, simply get the database file from Bizhat, and then use a converter software provided by the creators of the forum system you want to go to. Information on how to use that converter would be available on the support site for the new forum system.

SID errors (some users get the ID -1... which doesn't work.)

I have recently been seeing problems with users trying to log onto my forum with their cookies disabled. phpBB works as it should, and provides an SID string, however, sometimes the string doesn't seem to work. Using the database, as well as a combination of failed and working strings from one of my...

No - I don't want ANY PMs to be deleted, except by the user. I want new emails to be bounced back to the sender, with the message that the recipient's inbox is full. Brf - I know I can do that, but I don't really want to. I run a rather large forum, and because of database size, I really don't want ...

I realize it is not a bug, so maybe 'fix' was not the best word to use. Either way, thanks for moving the topic to where it belongs. :)

Old PMs automatically removed when Inbox full

The problem: When your PM box reaches 100% capacity, instead of bouncing back new messages, it just removes the older ones to make room. This is VERY annoying. It has probably been known for some time, and (I hope) there is a fix out for it, but I cannot find it. Can anyone point me towards a MOD, o...

Best to edit the SQL to match the new server's table creation requirements, then restore using the mysql program... But don't bother with the "redirected input" command. Simply start mysql, switch to your database, and use the "\." command to read the SQL file. This won't stop everything for a simp...

Splitting SQL File in order to Install

Hello, I have a 200MB phpBB SQL file that I need to install to get my forums up again. The only thing is, because the backup was made on a different version of MySQL than the new server is running, the install breaks in SSH. I was wondering how I would go about splitting this file. The posts databas...

Already known? Right. :P

Indeed, I am aware of how to reorder them through phpmyadmin, as it is what I have been doing. But an actual fix for this so that you can reorder them through the ACP would be nice.

I think I may have found a bug. When I try to re-order forums when there are no forums in subforum mode, everything works fine. However, when I turn any forum into a subforum, the forum order doesn't work (but the category order still does...) If this has already been reported, forgive me, but I don...

Just so you are aware, I am hitting this exact same problem. On part one I manage to convert ~77,000 posts out of 310,437. On part two, less than that. ~54000 posts out of 310,437. Then it gives me: "Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in C:\Program Files\XAMPP\xampp\htdocs\ph...

No, it's a personal installation, on a shared server.

I'll give that a shot. Thanks!

Changing a large scale forum from Invision 1.3Final to phpBB

I am having some questions regarding changing a forum with a large number of posts over from Invision 1.3 Final to phpBB. When I say large, I mean 310,437 posts. The trouble with this is the fact that I cannot run the update on my local machine, and thus cannot run it without the 30 second script li...
