No. But since this is your house and you make the rules and you've just finished warning all of us to stick to discussing version 2.0.16_to_2.0.17, I'll leave it at that, right? :x

It won't work with Easy Mod, because it would be unable to understand the "partial matches".

Better tell that to the phpBB Team who have advised people to use Easy Mod on other pages at this site...

Bull. That's no explanation at all.

This is the DMOZ Resource Zone mentality. It's crap there and it's crap here.

You could have:

1. alerted people when the update was released
2. waited another day or two until you had time to post an alert BEFORE urging everyone to update

The part that upsets me the most still hasn't been addressed:
why the hell did you wait a week to alert people?

On your first point, minstrel, please note that we only GUARANTEE functioning of the MOD on subSilver.

According to what is posted in this thread, even MODs installed with subSilver aren't going to work anymore...

I know enough about coding and PHP to figure out a way around this. Do you honestly believe that most people running phpBB forums are in that position? I manage 4 of them myself and have 2 or 3 others that look to me for assistance or advice... I'm talking less about me and more about the numerous p...

What upsets me is twofold: 1. the phpBB team has a validation process in place for phpBB MODs - if, as some team members are now implying or publicly stating, people shouldn't be using those MODs or non-standard templates/skins but should stick to plain vanilla (aka boring as hell and lacking a lot ...

The 2.0.17 to 2.0.18 Update has released as a MOD but it hasn't been added to the MOD database yet. The 2.0.18 Update is a bear to install and I haven't successfully done it on my heavily modded Test board yet, but here is the link to it: phpBB 2.0.18 released I don't understand why they are waitin...

Updates are normally released as a validated MOD within 24-48 hours. This has not been the case for 2.0.17_to_2.0.18 and that makes me worry that there are errors in the "Code Changes" file. When I look at the reports of problems after updating, not only here but on other forums, it makes me worry e...

1. This is one of the major components of the Able2Know SEO MOD released by Craven de Kere and John Abela a few years back.

It's not the server for THIS forum that is timing out -- it's YOUR server which is perhaps blocking outgoing connections as an anti-spam / anti-zombie measure.
