Oh sure, I did just exactly that. Mostly, you gut out the templates to eliminate links to places that you don't want users to know about. Deleting some files off the server that aren't used (viewtopic.php, viewforum.php, etc), and renaming files. The renaming is the tricky part. On the job I did, me...

One more reason for Olympus to be released (no HTML support! Hurray!) and people with attitudes like yours will be left behind... I have an attitude because I bolded the word "not" twice? http://www.vwvortex.com/zeroforum_graphics/screwy.gif OK, so the developers are attempting to discourage people...

The 'problem' you are looking to fix is not a bug....it is an intentional change made in 2.0.20. How is breaking existing functional features not a bug? Apparently the developers don't understand that after filling the databse with thousands of HTML enabled posts, running the board with it off is n...

probably an automated process attempting to compromise your server You don't recognize the famous "Highlight Exploit", the Santy.A worm bot that was the scourge of so many boards several versions ago??? Here's just one of 80 results of a search for "highlight+exploit", the most popular of the topic...

Yeah, except you'll need to use the proper path and file name for your icon, unless it's really named 'foobar.ico'. :o

That solution was already suggested, and although it would work, it would be a static snapshot of the userguide, not one that follows the stylesheet that controls format, color, font, etc. What I'd like to do is integrate the userguide into my theme, which isn't subSilver. Seems funny that I can fin...

While we're on the subject of the Useguide, can one of you point me to a copy of the template used to create it? I asked over in Support and got no answer. I wanted to have an online copy of it on my server that had been edited to be specifically tailored to my forum, removing the bits that the user...

My experience with disallowing all robots from the forum with: Disallow: /forum/*.* Disallow: /forum Has resulted in no indexing of any of my forum topics or pages AFAIK, so it looks like they respect the disallow. If you are attempting to allow indexing of perhaps the index.php page so that your fo...

OK, so do you know for sure that the entire subject text is being stored in the database, that is, can you see the entire text when you look at the database -or- is the entire text appearing somewhere on the viewtopic page in one place but not others? It's confusing when you say that the text is onl...

Checking the "hidden" option removes the user's screen name from the "who's online" and "users browsing this forum" lists. This only hides users from each other, the admin (and mods?) can still see the names, which will be in italics . I has nothing to do with the user's name appearing in topics, et...
