Re: [4.0.x][DEV] [OFFICIAL] CODENAME: Chameleon

I see the look you're going for and it reminds me of some paid styles, such as Milk v2, that I've installed on some boards. It has its fans and appeal. Firstly, thanks for your kind words and support of the Milk theme :) I think what you're seeing there is whitespace and padding, which was barely e...

Re: Forum Rules (white line)

Thanks! Stupid of me ... Solved! The above solution almost accurate, but is not recommended in its current form. This is because <strong> is also used to add emphasis to any bold text added via to the rules box. Therefore, the above code will cause line breaks to appear in your rules body t...

Re: Why oh why

Your styles are not validated (the premium ones) so please do not continue discussing the obvious. Yes, they are. All submissions on the envato marketplaces (ThemeForest, CodeCanyon etc) are validated by their own internal review teams. These are professional developers hired by envato to verify th...

Not to mention that I do actively contribute to the phpBB core code with 182 commits and counting, do you? https://github.com/phpbb/phpbb/commits?author=3D-I Oops, never seen you there at https://github.com/phpbb/phpbb/graphs/contributors How is this relevant to the free (.com) vs. paid discussion ...

Re: Why oh why

You should be adding hooks to your "professional" theme as they are added by phpBB. This is easily determined by visiting the event list of phpBB instead of relying on users to notify you of a missing hook...which, I would imagine, happens if an extension author gets a support topic opened stating ...

have over 100,000 downloads of freebies on phpBB.com CDB -> 203,037 and counting... (excluding phpBB2's validated MODS) . For free. :D Impressive, although I'm not really sure what point you're trying to make. You disputed my knowledge of phpBB, the software and its community. I substantiated that ...

Re: Why oh why

Wanting to be more focused on the subject, I dare say that you know very little about PHP/phpBB if I judge Indeed, I am not a PHP developer (we have an outstanding partner for that). However I am one of at least 3 authors who has sold over $100,000 worth of phpBB products, have over 100,000 downloa...

Re: Why oh why

Evidently Tapatalk was not the best example, although that doesn't detract from the overall point which was: it is absolutely not right to say that contributions should only be downloaded from phpBB.com ...particularly in the case of themes. You mentioned PlanetStyles.net wrote: ↑Today, 03:24 ... bu...

Re: Why oh why

I think there's an important distinction to be drawn here between: freebies available on phpBB.com vs. freebies available externally freebies available on phpBB.com vs. premium themes / extensions available externally The problem you'll find with freebies (which absolutely includes all submissions o...

This extension: https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/exte ... t_styling/

Was built for phpBB 3.1, but might still work on 3.3. Providing you assign dedicated ranks to your group(s), this should probably do what you're looking for :)

Very nice work, it is refreshing to see clean UI, whitespace, and re-designed components make their way into the freebie community :)

Watching development with interest :geek:

Re: I have no idea what I am doing

Christian (i think) will gladly help you. Correct :) Question no. 2 PC version displays header image very well. When I go mobile version, picture is cropped. Looks terrible. It looks like the logo text is part of the background image, which scales differently for mobile and desktop. You should have...

Re: HTML Codes where ?

Hi there, It sounds like you might be an pirated copy of Milk, as this screenshot is from one of the older versions, and lots of questions you asked could have been answered in the documentation :) Anyway, if you purchased it legitimately I would recommend re-downloading the theme from ThemeForest. ...
