Re: The poor quality of the icons

Hello there,

Do you have a link to where this is happening, or a screenshot?

Thanks :)

Re: [BETA] Prosilver color scheme generator 2.0

Nice, thanks for sharing this. I particularly love the UI previews below. I can see this saving many style authors lots of time.

Any specific licensing for the exported code, or is it a free for all?

Re: Words 'Login' and 'Register' never hide

Hey, I realise this is late, but it's not an extension issue. The text for those links is wrapped in <span> tags. On line 318 of common.css, this code hides those spans when the 'compact' class is present: .linklist.compact .rightside > a > span { display: none; } The compact class is applied when t...

Re: Particles on prosilver header

Yes it's technically possible, but requires some complex CSS layering and Javascript to resize elegantly.

Our Milk Theme (linked in signature) already has this effect built in.

Re: Round avatars

Helllo Christian 2.0, I see exactly that result. Accordingly, 4:3 (..) or consistently represent rectangles as square? So phpBB would have to improve in my opinion. An other way (one example) language -de- https://www.guru-20.info/quadratische-bilder-mit-css-erzeugen/ I'm wondering also which avata...

Re: Round avatars

and forcing square avatars is not a thing everywhere on the internet? They will have to get over it eventually The issue isn't whether user avatars appear as squares, circles or any other shape. Rather, how every day users source them. The only way to achieve rounded avatars consistently in phpBB a...

Re: Round avatars

It's technically possible, but not recommended unless you force avatars to be square. Rectangle avatars with a 50% border-radius will appear oval, eg: https://gyazo.com/14c5bf924a8c228b564a200f263465ce https://gyazo.com/94acd374937ee89e35f341af86ed6942 Your users won't appreciate being forced to use...

Re: this style is available

Not exactly. The style in the screenshot is called FPX, a custom design I was commissioned to make for ForumPromotion.net, it must be 8-9 years old by now. Kevin's right, Absolution (one of my other designs) is one of the closest alternatives. We submitted a 3.2.3 updaste for this a few weeks ago an...

Re: [DEV] [OFFICIAL] CODENAME: Chameleon

Excellent news. We've been long overdue a decent base framework for a long time.

New design looks perfect for what it needs to achieve. Sadly I can't contribute due to business commitments, but I'll be watching closely, and wish you the best of luck :)

Re: making subforum fonts a little larger and bold

Hello :)

There is no dedicated CSS for these links, but you could add the following to the bottom of links.css:

Code: Select all

a.subforum {font-size: 1.1em;}
Change font value for something that suits your needs. px values will work too!

Re: Where can I find forums to join?

There are quite a few 'promotion forums' or webmaster forums where Admins congregate to share and discuss their sites.

Search "Forum Promotion" in Google, top result is one of the best known :)

The context around replacing FontAwesome with SVG appears to be here: http://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic ... 51#p295151

FWIW I'm in strong support of keeping FA.
