Re: [BETA] Advanced Polls 1.2

Wondered if the following option could still be considered sometime: Option to add new options to a poll without clearing existing votes. We have a poll of games that players are most looking forward to, and as time moves on new games come out, but we cvan't add those to existing poll and have to ke...

Re: [DEV] [Official Extension] Auto Groups

One feature I coded for our existing forums is a 'linked group' option in the group admin, where you could specify a group that a user should automatically be put into if they were put into this group and automatically removed from if they were removed from this group (provided they were not in any ...

Re: [BETA] Advanced Polls

Hi I'm after a more advanced poll system and this one looks really good, but one feature I need is option to be able to add new poll options AFTER people have started voting - currently this wipes poll in phpbb. I understand why this happens and was going to code it myself, but just wondered if this...

Re: Help with custom UCP tab permission

Is it a cacheproblem maybe? Don't think so, as I'm manually clearing all cache files while I'm testing. Thanks for link brf, I've covered most of that I think. To help me debug this better can you guys answer one fundamental question: If the correct entries have been made in acl tables, and this ma...

Help with custom UCP tab permission

Hey guys, I'm having problems getting a new UCP module I've written to work. From the documentation I've read I've created an info file like the one below. /includes/ucp/info/ucp_my_option.php class ucp_my_option { function module() { return array( 'filename' => 'ucp_my_option', 'title' => 'UCP_MY_O...

Re: How to refresh variable in URL?

Thank you EXreaction, that worked!

I'm so used to using post for all forms in phpbb3 I'm now sat here confused as to why I din't try that 24 hours ago. I've spent hours today mucking around with hidden form fields, JS page refreshes, and all along the solution was simply to use get :|

How to refresh variable in URL?

This is driving me crazy.... I've created a drop-down list on a page and selecting an item from this list updates a variable then filter the list. This is an example of the form used for this: <form method="post" action="{F_GAMES}"> <label for="gid"><strong>{L_RS_GAME}: </strong></label> <select nam...

Where is user_rank first read?

Hey guys, need a quick bit of help please: In viewtopic.php we have references to: get_user_rank($row['user_rank'], $row['user_posts'], $user_cache[$poster_id]['rank_title'], $user_cache[$poster_id]['rank_image'], $user_cache[$poster_id]['rank_image_src']); to return rank title and image details for...

Re: Manual code commenting

rr even a need for them. No need for comments in code that has been modified?! I've been looking through several official mods today and just find it strange that none of them seem to include any comments in the code itself, and that doing so is not part of the MODX standards, at least not ...

Re: Manual code commenting

Thanks for the reply, but i'm still not getting it. In phpbb2 when I manually modded files I would add comments similar to the following: //-- mod : My MOd ------------------------------------- //-- mod : My Mod ------------------------------------------------------------- //-- add $this->user_mod_s...
