one location for all the language files?

I have 3 forums, all in different languages. They all use a different database and are in a different subdirectory. Is it possible to have them all use the same location for the language files? eg rootdir/language/ ? So that I don't have to upload all language packs 3 times everytime I have updated ...

Re: how to share same theme with different forums

yes, that's what i have now, but everytime i change something in a template, for example if i add a mod or something, i have to upload it to 4 different directories. If they all share the same theme i only have to do it once.

I've searched for this, surely it must exist? i only found a mod that displays avatar in sent/in/out/save box

i'd like the sender's ava to display in privmsgs_read_body.tpl

could someone point me in the right direction?

thanks in advance :)

Re: only local URLs allowed in sig

yes, that's what i'm doing now, but the enforcing takes too much time of my moderators (large forum) so having a mod automatically reject external links would make life easier :)

Re: only local URLs allowed in sig

Is there anyone who would like to take this on? It would be extremely helpful, because now my moderators spend a lot of time PMing people who have external links in their sigs.

Re: different forum logo depending on language

thank you! :)

it works for signed in users, but i'll need a default one for guests, since if you aren't logged in it doesn't know what language to pick. Could you add a default option? (which would be an image residing in the images directory rather than in a language directory).

thank you :)

Re: different forum logo depending on language

I am assuming we are talking about phpbb V2.something and that you are using the subSilver template. yes The phpBB logo normally lives in the templates/subSilver/images directory. The path to the images is hardcoded in overall_header.tpl. A general solution would be to move the page logo to the app...

Re: different forum logo depending on language

yes, it's an user preference, you can select the language in the profile. the templates already work like that, that you get the forum buttons in the appropriate language (built in already) so the reply/post etc buttons. They have their separate directories in the template directory. but i have no c...

different forum logo depending on language

Not sure if this belongs here or in styles, please move if appropriate :) I would like to have a different logo image depending on what language is selected for the forum. I have no idea how to do this. What do i have to edit for that? I have three different languages, english, dutch and french and ...

Re: [2.0.15] Signatures control

I have a weird glitch and i can't figure out what file i should check. The maximum allowed characters doesn't work. I can set it at what I like but it always comes through. So it doesn't seem to check that at all. however, if i change a sig in the ACP, it does check it and refuses too long sigs. cou...

Re: [2.0.21] My Quick Reply

yes, it is really weird, it suddenly works again :/ sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

so i have no idea if this is something with the mod or some other mod interfering (i have quite a few)
