Re: Member Number in Database Incorrect

well anything can be done. however something like this is probably not going to be worth anyone's time. I have never seen a request for something like this before. people just dont usually care about the ID numbers staying in order. It has no effect on how the board runs etc. robert I agree that it...

Re: Member Number in Database Incorrect

Any way to add this to the base code so that when a spammer is deleted or any other user is deleted that it reads the last user id number and automatically corrects for the next new user? Suppose not the latest member is deleted but a member that has newer members after him/her. That will make a ho...

Re: Member Number in Database Incorrect

The problem is, if every conceivable option/hack/MOD or whatever was introduced (for nit-pickers :P ) to the core code, before long you would need a terabyte of webspace before you got started. I'm not arguing one way or the other whether or not this would be beneficial to a lot of users but the pa...

Re: Member Number in Database Incorrect

In order to gain support you will need to clearly show what benefit this change would bring, so good luck with that. I do realize that a major benefit would not be readily shown, and most likely is not a long term issue that would cause problems, but for nit-pickers like me, the accuracy in ...

Re: Member Number in Database Incorrect

If you delete users using the built in functions using the ACP member numbers are automatically synchronised. Did you delete users directly from the database? No, not through the database. I am doing it through the ACP....and it does NOT automatically sync them...as evident in both pictures. It may...

Re: Member Number in Database Incorrect

Thanks for the reply, but this is a new install. I apologize for not stating that...it is a clean install of phpBB 3.0.10, not a conversion of upgrade...I have found this in the SQL structure....phpbb_users called "NextAutoindex": member_2.JPG Now the question is how to reset it to the actual number...

Member Number in Database Incorrect

Hello all and good day. The issue I am having is that I have had a lot of "spam" users register, which I delete, and the member count is not correct. I have the Admin account, Anonymous account, plus a Mod user, as well as the 50 standard BOTs, but the next user to sign up will be numbered 166 (see ...

In my opinion, Linux pwns, its just not many people designing drivers and such think of linux when coding. So we are stuck in a world of OSX and Windows. I have heard in the past that the lack of support (or new drivers) for hardware is that the manufactures are refusing to release the source code ...

Probably a dumb question that has already been answered.. but short of going through 1300 odd pages I can not find the answer. How do I reduce the size of the image thumbnails of attached pictures. I believe its just a normal cycle and in a few (10-15) years it will return to normal. I believe its been this way since they started recording temps. The politicians spread a little half-truth rumor which grows into paranoia, which they then turn around to come up with a "fix", which in turn advanc...

Re: Attachment over the quota limit is possible.

I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered. I've tried searching for the posts but I couldn't find them. This is my problem. Attachment over the quota limit is possible in some situation. Suppose a user posts a new message when he's near the quota limit.. he then attaches a file no. 1 in that me...
