im not sure how you would do it but wouldent it be better to make an external php file and make a call to it in the header? yes that's what i have in mind. all my files have the line <?php include(menu.php); ?> but in the phpBB template this isnt possible. an i-frame will not solve my problem. I rely heavily on css to change the website's layout.

i'm aware that the xtreme styles mod can insert php code without a problem, but again, i was looking for a smaller sollution. something like creating a new {D_MENU} category for example

adding dynamic content to a template

i need to include a menu.php file into the header. My goal is to make updates easier.

the rest of my pages just include menu.php, but the templates dont allow php from what i remember.

is there a way around this issue ?

{SITENEWS} should be inserted into the textbox, not set as a value. try that and tell us how it goes :)

we'd love to help but keep in mind some issues

we don't know what error you get when you install the mod,
you didnt supply a link to it's page and also, we don't know the install procedure for the mod.

when posting a question, please try to post as much info as you can

" WHERE article_id =$article_id"; $comment_result = $db->sql_query($comment_query); if (! ($comment_result = $db->sql_query($comment_query))) { message_die (GENERAL_ERROR, 'Blah bla...

an easier solution would be to remove the memberlist link from everyone who isnt a moderator. give memberlist.php a new name and you're all set

well you can close the entire forum to registered members only. also, you can close the registration procedure, so that way only you and a trusted few can register new members.

would that solve your security needs ?
