Re: [RC] Private Message Moderation

Sorry, there is no provision for filtering messages sent by a specific group. If you can come up with a specific phrase that all of those messages contain then you could use that to filter those messages. Set that in the filter field on the "Configure Defaults" screen.

Re: Private Message Moderation

Ahri89 wrote:What version of UMIL use this mod?
1.0.1-pl1

It was the latest at the time this MOD was published.

It comes in the MOD package and is installed by the MOD. The phpBB modification team required this before they would approve this MOD.

Re: Private Message Moderation

If you install this MOD you should consider informing your users about the ability that you have for reading PMs. While this might be legal, it does not mean your users will like it at all. I agree. As I said when I posted the first version of this mod: I am well aware (and you should be too) that ...

Re: [RC] Private Message Moderation

It was originally created using phpBB 3.0.6. I have no idea whether it will work with 3.0.5 or not. Try it and see.

Re: [RC] Private Message Moderation

No, mySQL 5 is not required.

I do not know what to tell you. The mySQL query that you posted does not result in a syntax error with my mySQL 4.1.2 database.

Re: [RC] Private Message Moderation

@emule: That SQL statement does not produce an error for me. I ran the SQL query that you posted in a mySQL 4.1.2 database and it worked fine. From the error message you posted it looks like you have configured phpBB to use mysql4. Does that really match the database that you are using? The SQL quer...

Re: [RC] Private Message Moderation

@image45: There are a couple of DIY steps after running AutoMOD: running an install script much like you do after installing phpBB or AutoMOD themselves, and then deleting that script. See the first post at the top of this thread for details on the installation process. Version 1.5.4 has been waitin...

Re: [RC] Private Message Moderation

So, from the error message, it is looking for the template files in the proFormell theme directories. As far as I know, that's wrong. It should be looking in the adm/style directory. If I delete adm/style/acp_privmsgs_mod.html from my board then the error I get is: template->_tpl_load_file(): File ....

Re: [RC] Private Message Moderation

The ACP does not use the board themes like prosilver or subsilver, it has it's own theme. The files for the ACP theme are in the adm/style/ directory. That's where acp_privmsgs_mod.html goes, along with acp_privmsgs_mod.css and acp_privmsgs_mod.js. AutoMOD should have put the files in the right plac...

Re: [RC] Private Message Moderation

Ok, I've made v1.5.4 available. It includes the admin permission I mentioned above. Download and installation instructions are in the first post in this thread. By default, the Private Messages ACP module will only be visible to founders. To allow other administrators to use it you will need to gran...

Re: [RC] Private Message Moderation

Ok, I'll work on tightening up the security on this thing. Right now I'm thinking of accomplishing this by adding a new "Administrative permission" that one can use to control which admin roles see this module and which do not. This would be similar to the "Can use AutoMOD" permission that gets adde...

Re: [RC] Private Message Moderation

I don't know what to tell you. It sounds like you did the right things. What exactly happens when you click the "Private Messages" tab in the ACP?

Re: [RC] Private Message Moderation

I have not added code to my MOD to support that. In my head, adjusting permissions for ACP modules is a general feature that is better supported by a MOD built for that purpose, or for a feature request to the phpBB developers themselves, to ask them to add that function to their module management s...
