Re: [DEV] [OFFICIAL] CODENAME: Chameleon

@Heo32 There are a lot of problems with prosilver when it comes to using forums and most forums, in general, do a lot of things wrong to account for usability & cross-platform delivery. We are not setting out to create a new theme to simply replace prosilver! We are reimagining what a forum is at th...

Re: [DEV] [OFFICIAL] CODENAME: Chameleon

Once again this is not the new design! There is no design layer yet! We are focusing on the structure of the code for each individual component and using a base wireframe layer. The demo is just something thrown together for you to interact with some of the components and showcase how easily you can...

Re: [DEV] [OFFICIAL] CODENAME: Chameleon

That questions are asked here is completely normal. Not everyone is on Area51 and hardly anyone reads there. If the blog is just an indication of the upcoming new phpbb, then the topic closes here and leads the discussion to Area51. But I would advise to move the topic here, here you get more feedb...

Re: [DEV] [OFFICIAL] CODENAME: Chameleon

This is the discussion topic to voice concerns for the masses. If you have a specific coding topic to discuss related to the development yes probably then you should post on area51 which is also linked in the blog post. This topic is more of a showcase of progress as all custom theme posts are. You ...

Re: [DEV] [OFFICIAL] CODENAME: Chameleon

Not sure if it will be a toggle or not yet but it’s extremely easy to switch from grid and list for forums just remove the c-forum-deck class so easily doable. Keep in mind everything is configurable and scaleable as well via SCSS variables including the spacing. :D also this does not include a them...

Re: prosilver: <dfn> tags in forumlist_body.html

The dfn elements are left over archaic code for handling screen readers change them to spans and give them the class of sr-only instead and that should fix everything for you

Re: What is the right way to keep the Custom Style during an Update?

it looks like you are running 3.2.0 version of phpbb. There will be some slight modifications you will need to make for 3.2.3, but nothing that should affect your theme. we removed this line background-image: url("./images/quote.gif"); we removed this block .rtl blockquote { background-image: url("....

Re: Changing color of Edit, Report, Quote Buttons

generally, this is done by adding a color class to the specific i tag you want to change the color of in the template file. If you look in color.css we have icon-grey, icon-red, etc...

Re: Style validation for new phpBB version?

if you mean discussion related to issues with building a style then yes this forum is the correct one. I sincerely hope the text style and size changes in .3 from what is being displayed on area51. Quote, text is really too small and the text is all crammed together. was already fixed...area51 just ...

Re: Style validation for new phpBB version?

As lumpy said release for .2 and continue to test against the RCs then re-submit once .3 drops. You can use https://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopi ... 81&t=52881 as a guide.

Re: What is the right way to keep the Custom Style during an Update?

If you created your custom style as a "child" style of prosilver you would not have to worry about updating your style whenever you do an update. for the most part...and, it's a good practice to make all of your CSS files in a custom.css file that way you know what you changed/need to make sure sti...
