Re: Converted from 2.0.xx to 3.2 and cookies don't seem to work !

Thanks Robert :)

Everything seems to be working, which is amazing.

I just have to remember how to do things like change the banner at the top of the forum.

Re: Converted from 2.0.xx to 3.2 and cookies don't seem to work !

a white page usually means a php error. those errors should be in your error log on the server. go to your hosting control panel and find the error logs. copy and paste the first 25 or so lines here so we can see what is causing the error. robert Robert, thank you so much for your attempt to help m...

Oh my God!

Deleting all board cookies using the option on the index page, deleting all related cookies from my browser and then logging in again and I finally managed to get to the ACP!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Converted from 2.0.xx to 3.2 and cookies don't seem to work !

Oh my God! This almost worked!!!!!!!!!!!! I had briefly searched on the subject but couldn't find anything and was hopelessly dispondent, possibly provoked by hours of being knackered doing the conversion. Now you have directed me to something approaching a solution! You are a wonderful human being ...

Re: New host has broken old phpbb 2.0.xx, how best to fix and upgrade?

Well I decided as I had no help, to just install a 3.2 and then run the converter on the old 2.0.xx forum and hope for the best. It seemed to go fine but despite the new forum accepting my login and password as admin, cookies don't seem to work and I can't access the forum ACP or any parts of the fo...

New host has broken old phpbb 2.0.xx, how best to fix and upgrade?

My hosting service decided to upgrade their servers etc and were not very forthcoming with the extent of the upgrade and disruption to phpbb software and of course broke my phpbb installation. My old phpbb 2.0.xx ( I can't quite remember the version number and am not sure how to find out) no longer ...

Re: [2.0.10] Moderator CP

There are only two results in the file for the find you suggested and after making the edits everything worked!

I will now update my old forum with the new ModCp, its forum root will be just below the domain root so presumably the edit will not be necessary?

Re: [2.0.10] Moderator CP

Any chance of an answer to this error? Surely getting the URL wrong can't be anything I have done? Unless the mod code insists the root of the forum is immediately below the domain root ?

Ahaah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thankyou! Though I now get on clicking on it "Not Found The requested URL /testforum/login.php was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. " which is a step forward, I think...

Re: [2.0.10] Moderator CP

Please excuse any idiocy in the following comments. My problem is the link to the modcp does not appear on the bottom of the index page when I log in as a mod which seems incredible given the small number of changes that were required. I have installed 1.05a version of this excellent mod successfull...

Re: [2.0.21] ExtremeDark Red

Is it me or do NONE of links to demos in any of the styles themes work?

I have selected a number the demos links and an error e.g.
http://www.phpbb.com/styles/forum/index.php?style=408
which is the demo link for this style
