Re: Security fixes / alerts

I know it isn't hard and I have done it several times in my own forum. In this thread I was asking to clear things up for others who have a different setup (involving git and puppet). It was discussed how to do updates and why. Sysadmins here have a different opinion than the average single forum ad...

Re: Security fixes / alerts

http://www.phpbb.com/support/documents.php?mode=changelog&version=3#v307-PL1 Ah, I see - something does not work wrt the search function of my browser - it does not mark this entry :( Well, it seems that from v. 3.08 there has been no security alert? So, strictly speaking for a lazy¹ administration...

Re: Security fixes / alerts

Adding:
I know the changelog but having a list with more than 100 entries is not really helpful if you want to check only for security fixes.

Security fixes / alerts

Is there a list of security alerts and/or fixes where I can see which security related issues where reported and fixed in which version?
Something like:
Updating from version n to n+1 fixed the following security related issues:
No 12345, contents, reported on foo.bar.com/12345. , link to details

Re: "Report post" triggers no mail notification

Ah, ok, now I understood. Well, unfortunately I have a life outside of the forum, but I also want to respond to an alert ASAP. If I visit the board once a day, people would have to wait for my response for 24 hours (in the worst case), that's not my understanding of a quick response. That's why I re...

Re: "Report post" triggers no mail notification

are you not going to your board every once in a while to maintain it? or do you not have moderators for this purpose? that is why a web based bulletin board was developed so that you have to access it via the web to use it and maintain it. What do you mean by that? I don't understand the meaning of...

Re: "Report post" triggers no mail notification

Well, my excitement started too early! :(
The MOD was written for 3.0.1, now we have 3.0.9 and it's not even working in 3.0.6:

"Report post" triggers no mail notification

When a user reports a post by clicking on the "Report" icon (the exclamation mark), is it not standard that the administrator group gets a mail notification? I saw this in another phpbb3 forum and now I checked it in my forum - I do not get a mail informing me about a new report. Where can I configu...

Jabber button not showing account info

Jabber is not enabled for our forum messages, IM messaging is not enabled. Users can show their IM account addresses in their profile so others can click on those buttons, read the address and make contact outside of the forum. This works with all IM buttons but not with the Jabber button. It is wit...

Re: Search index maintenance

Ah, ok, now here I get no option but a white window telling me that: SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ] Table './db_mambo/phpbb3_search_wordmatch' is marked as crashed and last (automatic?) repair failed [144] Anyhow, took the table from a backup and replaced the broken table. Now I deleted all search indices and...
