Re: Best plugin to stop spam

I tried most of the recommended solution, captcha and addons. It helps, but not so much.

So, I added stopforumspam service on my registration page. It's free and updated daily.
Still 0 spams after almost 1 year.

Re: [RC] cBB Follower 1.0.1

Hi, this is really nice MOD. There is only one small flaw, which can be a serious. When a user follows a few regular members, he will be buried with emails. This can be a serious problem, and mostly against the anti-spam policies (email domain can be marked as a spammer and blacklisted). Maybe a sol...

Re: [BETA] phpBB WYSIWYG

you may need to read more about phpBB & CKEditor http://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=105&t=29461 It's great. Also, it took me 10-15 minutes to integrate basic CKEditor in phpbb3 on my localhost. It's not that hard at all. Custom BBCodes and smileys are not integrated (need some more work ...

Re: [BETA] phpBB WYSIWYG

It's great to have such an editor, but the same as the previous one (almsamim) has a lot of bugs. Copy/paste text is not formatted well and needs a lot of code to be changed, the images are not display well (it adds attribute that breaks the image link in some browsers), the toolbar does not work we...

Re: [ALPHA] [BRIDGE] phpBB & WordPress

Excellent addition (although I have not yet tested).
Otherwise, as far as integration is enough to me to phpbb users can write comments on the WP blog. Thats all I need, nothing else... and it is very easy to do (10-15 lines of code and minor changes WP theme comment form)

Re: [DEV] Open Social

I suggest making it so you can share regardless of where you are on the phpbb site. In other words, make it so members don't have to go to the OpenSocial section of the website to share links, etc. This is easily done by copying the code for the form (link or status or both) ... for example in over...

Re: [DEV] Open Social

I will be following this development, it sound great. When you say Chat, are you referring to an IM or regular chat? :) Chat will be more like IM (not as shoutbox or something), but you need to click on someone's profile, and "chat" link to open the chat window. Also, there will be notification of ...

Re: [DEV] Open Social

First I should explain the basic concept of this mode (as it is still in its early stage of development). All contents/streams are divided into groups: links/news/feeds, users activities (such as buddy lists, statuses) ... Anyone will be able to choose what to display on the screen with filters (onl...

Re: [DEV] Open Social

Thanks for your support :D  . The site that you gave looks like it is trying to copy Facebook, and I was not the intention or plan. I'm not saying that this mod is bad, but it is not my intention to copy a mod, because I personally do not like this approach. Who like it, nothing prevents him t...

Re: [ALPHA] Facebook Like button

This is easily done by copying the code into viewtopic_body.html and used as a link (href) viewtopic.php?f={FORUM_ID}&t={TOPIC_ID}
You can get code from here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/ref ... gins/like/

Also, the same can be done for the comments and other facebook plugins.

Fixed template file. There were 2 unnecessary "ENDIF".

Thanks Brf for support.

User notes error (cache) - tpl_gi_mcp_notes_user.html.php

Is there a way to control which cache file will be generated? I get following error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in /home/***/***/forum/cache/tpl_gi_mcp_notes_user.html.php on line 92 Line 92 is: <?php } } else { ?> When I remove one } its working fine.
