This might or might not be a factor into this thread, so please keep that into consideration. I'm not totally sure what you're talking about with the captchas. Are those the image boxes that appear on registration forms to prevent automatic registrations? I read in an earlier post that "captcha...

After fixing bug, login/out no longer works

After searching long & hard, I couldn't locate an answer to my problem. So I'm making this post. I had problems with my login until a user helped me locate the problem-my cookie info was messed up. I fixed the original problem though now, there's a new problem. When users submit the login form, ...

I'm having the same problem: Spammers post their nonsense on my forum. How would I (and afterhours) disable guest posting? It's a pain having to register if you only have a question or 2 but it's a safer bet than keeping your doors open to spammers.

Confirmation email problem

I have a prob that I can't figure out. Just to mention: I am hosted with the domain ozzyasylum.com but I use my forum with an addon domain via Cpanel Domain: ozzyforum.com. I'm also using phpBB v. 2.0.11. When a user signs up, a confirmation email is sent that contains a confirmation link http://ozz...

I inserted the code into my index.php file. It didn't work at first though with a slight bit of modifying (changing the domains) I got it to work: if ($_SERVER["HTTP_HOST"] != "www.ozzyforum.com") { header ("Location: http://www.ozzyforum.com/"); die(); }; Now, all user...

Confirmation link & login problems

I have a few probs that I can't figure out. I've identified one; the other, no dice. Just to mention: I am hosted with the domain ozzyasylum.com but I use my forum with an addon domain via Cpanel Domain: ozzyforum.com. I'm also using phpBB v. 2.0.11. The forum is in full URL http://www.ozzyasylum.co...

I have no mods installed; my overall_header.tpl files are intact. Every time I try to modify the templates, the tables are messed up and even with hours of attempts, I can't figure out what the problem is. [edit] The .tpl file for BBTech was cleaned (ie proper line breaks) to make it easier for the ...

Request: Slight style modifications needed

I've spent many hours trying to do this (and I also made a thread for it, which wasn't specific enough & only got one reply). I wasn't sure where to post this but seeing as this isn't a mod, I figured I'd post it in here. I have quite a few templates in my forum and I need to add banner space fo...

Iframes in headers/footers

I've spent about an hour or 2 (literally) searching for an answer to my question but failed to find anything suitable. The question, in a nutshell: How would I go about adding iframes to headers/footers? Elaboration: I wish to add a banner rotator to the header and/or footer so I can display my own ...
