Re: Game list MOD question

well yeah, that much is obvious. but I am not going to add a custom field for each game. What I currently have is a dropdown with all the wii games in it. but how can I add something like this to the profile? and make it work how I showed here?

Re: Adding New Cutom Profile Field TYPES

I am needing this right now as well. I am adding the ability to add wii codes to your profile, but I need a custom profile field that is made of 4 textboxes, each 4 digits long, separated by a "-". I already know how to take those values and make one string from them, I just done know where to defin...

Game list MOD question

I hope this is the right place to post this. Basically I want to create a small mod to add the following to every user's profile: http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/WACOMalt/gameslist.gif (yeah I made an animated gif of it... I suck at explaining stuff... so...) basically each user, once regis...

Re: Adding custom profile field to memberlist

I also need a way to do this, sorting memberlist by profile fields, also allow searching for members by them.

I added a wii system code field, and I want people to be able to find their friends by code.

Re: email error on registration

thanks, and yeah I do agree for most users this just isn't practical. Maybe even not for me, but I still enjoy it. Anyways, Thanks everyone for the help thus far. I saw someone had managed to get this working on PHP5 as you can add a few lines to the SMTP to start the TLS connection or whatever it i...

Re: email error on registration

this is just one of the many reasons why trying to run a web based application like a bulletin board from your home computer is not a good idea. you will have to learn how to setup your computer as a web server, that includes things like settting up a mail server , etc. I never saw why learning som...

Choose which smilies are shown in the post reply area

and which ones you have to click "more smilies" to see.

how can I do this?

It seems the ones chosen to display in the post reply area are in no particular order.

very unlikely ;)

I assumed it was set up by default when SME was set up.

well, its off to the manual for me!

Emails not working :/

alright, so I chose to use the forums built in mail function for everything, but.. its not working. I assume its a server side issue, but I need confirmation on that, and does anyone know what I should check? I host myself on a linux box, so I assume I have some php settings set up wrong, not allowi...

I had this problem the other day, and came across this solution on another site. Basically, I had to add something for "upload_tmp_dir" in php.ini Solution is on the surface (as always, though). 1. Create folder anywhere on server’s local drive. For example, “C:\Inetpub\TempUploads” 2. Set to your ...

well, Im not so sure this is ALl server side. granted, yes the problem is server side, but if my attachment mod works, that shows that uploads DO work, and the avatar's must just be using a different way to do it. I dont know why they would use a less successful way though. That is more what I am re...
